HOLY CRAP
I see great promise in this comic.

Honestly.
Robin Hood in modern times.
In the city of Nottingham.
With a mob lord, Jonathan Prince.
This is really quite brilliant.
If you don't continue this, I...I think I"m gonna have to kill somebody.
Like honestly.
It's great that some people can pull off serious (or semi-serious) Lego comics.
I really will be watching this.

Great job!

Aie, first comic and I've already been crotch-shotted laugh.gif .
A great start. Feels a lot more like Altrax X then Nort Twino did.

Well, he was on fire, so it's pretty much assumed he's dead. Oh, I imagine that it would be particularly difficult to maneuver with a bullet in your leg while drenched in a mixture of oil and your own blood. tongue.gif

Prince John. Depending what version you've read or seen, he might not be in it, but the version I grew up on had Prince John as the main villain with Guy of Gisbourne and the Sherriff of Nottingham as secondary villains.

haha. good point. love this comic. Robin should use a crossbow with (if you cut and glue) a scope from brickarms or a TLC sextant.

Hood used a longbow in the legend. So I feel a gun called the "Z12 LNGBW" or something would be pretty cool.

Anyway, great comic and I look forward to reading more.

Anyway, I'm glad you guys are enjoying this. Anyway, PM me if you want a cameo in it, preferably as a lackey or mobster working for Jonathan Prince, but if you want to be a good guy, that's cool too. Anyway, my major inspiration for this character driven, large cast, episodic thing was Lost. Oh, and the idea was thought up by me and one of my friends, and we both thought it would be cool if Robin Hood was adapted to a modern setting. Oh, and plus my brother who gave me some cool ideas. Anyway, I'll probably make another part as soon as possible, just because I'm having so much fun with it. Oh, and the main cast introduced so far:

Rob Loxley
Jonathan Prince (mentioned only)
Guy Gisbourne
Jayk Kroot (character created by Fortyk, not part of the original Robin Hood legends)
Will "Red" Scarlett
Oh, and David Doncaster (the Landlord)

If you want to, you can have fun looking some of the cast members up to see some of what the original characters were like.

Edit: Oh, and another thing. If you create a character that you want to have a cameo, then I would prefer if he was not based off of an existing character in Robin Hood stories. Unless he's a minor one, that I haven't used in the comic, and I give you the okay. Otherwise, the main cast members like Little John and Maid Marian, despite not appearing yet, will obviously appear at a later date in the story, in one form or another, and I don't need people to sign up as them.

Oh well, promising comic, but could Jayk turn good or something? I really don't like him as a bad guy. Just a request though, if you want him bad, have him bad. tongue.gif

...Cooooool.....

It feels JUST like the modern-day Romeo and Juliet movie did... the Prince thing was in that too. 'Tis a great idea though.

Loving i so far. Definately has more potential then Twino did.

Well, I'd prefer if he was bad, because I have a shortage of baddies, (hint, hint, sign-ups), but if you want to discuss it, then PM me and I'll work something out. wink.gif

I actually haven't seen Romeo+Juliet (that's the name of the modern version, right?). But I think it's a pretty cool idea. Personally, I think it would translate well to a mafia, crime, rival families story.

Yeah, Romeo+Juliet was the modern one. It may have been set in modern times, but all the dialouge was verbatim to the original play.
It was really hard to understand.
Promise me you won't do that, please.
I like comics where I can understand just what's going on.

Speaking of the friar, what about the witch?
She was in the original Robin Hood, right?
Are you gonna include her, too?
