I've finally decided to start posting some of my Lego stuff.

Today's Update features my Entry to the Fantasy Action Contest: Out from the Breach.

A Group of Adventurers are walking along next to a ancient wall, built by some forgotten civilization. Suddenly, out of a breach in the wall in front of them, a Raiding Party of Vorgen Orcs stream out, like Ants from a broken nest. The Adventurers arm themselves and rush into the fray!

Here's a main shot of the build:

Here's a Close up of the conflict:

out_from_the_breach__main_pic_by_dwestmo

Here's a Shot of the Adventurers:

From left to right, we have: Horace the Paladin, Markus the Centurion, the Unicorn Knight, and Emanuael the Assassin.

Here's a Shot of the Orcs:

I only have 2 Orcs and these looked cooler, so... :P

Shot of the Bricks without the Orcs:

Parting Shot of the Adventurers:

Thanks for Comments and Criteques; they're appreciated!

Those MB's are so screwed because of lack of mobility  :lego_tongue:

Nice build, the destroyed wall looks really good. The only criticism I have is that the rest of the ground looks really bare.

Cool, ever thought of making a Errant MOC? Maybe the mansion group? *nudge nudge*

Thanks!

Also, kudos for saying that instead of something like "ERMIGERSH! MEGERBLERKS! I HERT THEM SER MUCH!" :D

I don't really have a lot of LEGO plants. My siblings do but I don't. ;_;

Maybe if I had a lot of money and Scorp's help. :D

Nice build! I only hope those MB orcs get what's coming to them :P

I will say though, if you don't have the pieces to fill in the bare ground, perhaps use a smaller baseplate? At it is, you have a small area of action and a lot of empty space. Using a smaller baseplate will help you pack more detail in, making it look more "action-y" than it does now.

My other piece of criticism is that two of the 'figs (the Centurion and the Silver Knight) aren't very custom. It's more personal preference, but for MOCs, I like to mix and match body parts instead of using existing 'figs.

Otherwise, nice entry! :)

If you're going to get that close to what you're taking a picture of, turn on macro. It's the symbol of a flower.

Nice I especially like the wizard he looks amazing, like a retro remastered version.

edit* I'm no expert but you could try putting lamps on the subject your photographing and see how that works out, also perhaps a larger size white paper would be handy.

Right or wrong, which side are you on, does it even matter if it's on the same coin?

Wow, it's really been two years since I posted in this last? Geez.

Anyways, I'll be posting stuff sporadically, since I have some cool stuff built that I've been saving up to show you guys, but for now, I'm just going to post shots of some of the decals that I commissioned Scorp to make.

First up, my contest entry:

lego__ildrius_and_murdstone_01_by_dwestm

The little platform was built for kicks, which is why I didn't spend too much time on it. But here are the real stars of the show:

lego__ildrius_and_murdstone_02_by_dwestm

lego__ildrius_and_murdstone_03_by_dwestm

Ildrius without his beard looks like Evil Aragorn. Creepy.

lego__mage_emperor_ildrius_by_dwestmoore

I love how my drawing of Ildrius translated into minifig form. The sacrifice of a Gandalf Minifig to create you was not in vain!

lego__lord_elric_murdstone_by_dwestmoore

This is Lord Elric Murdstone, a Vampire Necromancer who appeared earlier in this topic and in several of my drawings. He was pretty much inspired by some of Nightstaker's Alandra Minifig. He now comprises of:

A Shadow Guard hood

The Head of a Nova Core Pilot

A Cape from the Graduate student from Lego's Minifig line

A Garmadon chest

Legs from the latest version of Darth Maul

Speaking of which, guess what else I commissioned Scorp to make for me?:

lego__star_wars_rebels__maul_by_dwestmoo

"KENOBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAI!!!"

lego__star_wars_rebels__maul_02_by_dwest

I can't imagine all the pain that Scorp had to go through to find reference pictures to make these decals. Kudos to you, man; you're a real trooper.

As Always, Comments, Critiques, and Suggestions are always appreciated!

Good set of minifig! I love how the Mage Emperor looks. Elric also looks pretty sweet.

Glad some figs of mine could be of assistance.

Thanks!

It's not the first time, nor will it be the last. ;)

Anyways, here's the First Part of a Lego Dump of stuff I've been saving for a while.

First up, something that I made recently:

vampire_resurrector_01_by_dwestmoore-dbq

vampire_resurrector_02_by_dwestmoore-dbq

Origionally, I was trying to see if I could make a Panzerhund with peices that I already had, but it turned into me making an Undead Mount and a Vampire Necromancer along with it. The Necromancer definitely isn't inspired by aaany of Nightstalker's minifigs. :D

vampire_resurrector_03_by_dwestmoore-dbq

Gah! So that's where the leftover Gandalf head went from making Mage Emperor Ildrius!

Here's something that I made with pieces from the Doctor Strange set:

eldritch_abomination_by_dwestmoore-dbq28

Now here's it with some adventurers:

abomination_vs_adventurers_by_dwestmoore

Now here are the adventurers:

adventurers_by_dwestmoore-dbq29pd.jpg

From left to right we have: Xi the Red Magi, Horatio the Strong, Sir Liam Neilsson, Runewit the Wizard, and Hollis the Green Knight.

Lastly, here's a little moc I built just for my Nox Minifig:

battle_at_the_unknown_shrine_01_by_dwest

Better pics of the Minifigs:

battle_at_the_unknown_shrine_03_by_dwest

battle_at_the_unknown_shrine_02_by_dwest

The decals for Nox came out amazing! Hopefully Scorp will add his decals for him soon, because I bet some people would love to have some too. The Demon, Hooksward, came out okay as well (he's just a Ash Attacker with Brickwarriors armor), but Nox is a thousand times more bad@$$.

Shot of the Moc without minifigs:

battle_at_the_unknown_shrine_04_by_dwest

It was inspired by the idea of a secluded, sacred place of worship, like the Weirwood trees from Game of Thrones, and the idea of altars to Unknown gods.

Anyways, that's it for now! Feedback would be appreciated, and stay tuned for part two!
