Okay, I'll give it to ya...

I like that last drawing (although Necros and the Dark Maiden would never be holding hands).

For whatever reason, the Witch King's, glowy sword really stands out to me. I like the effect!

Yeah, that was more to symbolize that "Hey, look at all our kids!" even though I'm sure only the tenth was the only child they created. Plus, I wanted an excuse to draw Necros again.

Me too! I didn't want to draw it the way I usually draw that sword when I'm drawing lego minifgures, and so I did that.

Anyways, on to the art!

First up, some stuff I forgot to upload to here:

Next, a drawing Nightstalker asked me to draw:

Next, something I made on Easter:

Lastly, the group picture for a Dying Breed:

Wish I had more drawings to upload (because I have three in progress drawings right now) but eh, maybe next update. :P

As always, comments, critiques, and suggestions are always appreciated!

#486997 Kate Meliora

My Face by the time I had finished reading Kate's biography:

It's like all of Marcus' pent up aggression and psychotic-ness was turned into one character: I'm not sure if I should be amazed or terrified.

Maybe both.

MFW I see that this topic is resurrected.

You should draw the young, sexy version of Jesse McCree.

You should be glad I decided not to post this at high noon:

got any ideas for scenes for my animation? Any visuals you could come up with... might just make it in ;)

Honestly, the one thing I would love to see is the use of perspective shots to show how big the Stone Giant is.

You could show how big the giant is by using a couple of different shots:

  1. Show the giant lying on the ground.
  2. Show a small part of him twitching.
  3. Have birds fly out of the trees.
  4. Have smaller animals so crazy on the ground as he rises to his feet.
  5. Pan up the giant as he stands tall, shouldering his sword maybe.
  6. Showing the knight doing something like preparing for a fight or being amazed.

Technically you have a bunch of this stuff already, and the animals would probably be too much of a challenge to animate, but this would really build up the Giant's intimidation factor.

Like I said previously, it might be too much for what you know how to do, but I think it might be cool.

*sigh* Guess it's finally time to stop being a salt lord.

Your drawings have significantly improved with each additional post. For that matter, so has the coloring. In particular, your fantasy drawings have shown a lot of change. Female faces could still use some work, but even those have improved. I'm not exactly an artist (I sure as heck can't draw), but I think the one thing that could definitely help is if you drew more thin faces. Something about the cheek to chin area that kind of throws off your female characters. Again, feel free to ignore me because I have 0% expertise in drawing.

Thanks! I appreciate your comments on my art, even though legos are more your art medium than drawing.

My female faces are going to take a while to get better. I'm more used to drawing male faces because...well, I'm a guy. :P

Looking good, as usual, Dalton! :D I have to agree with Nightstalker that your art has come a long way since you started. I'm particularly enjoying your coloring and the way you handle shading.

That flamingo in particular looks really good, to be honest. I... don't really have much to offer by way of suggestion, as I'm incredibly rusty in the art scene, myself. But I'm intrigued by this "mysterious venator." Maybe he's who you're signing up as if I ever manage to get those sign-ups started? :P

Thanks! Suggestions are more meant for what you guys think I should draw, though they can also be for how I can improve my art.

The mysterious Venator is just Cyrus Malcom, who will be making an appearance in this update.

Speaking of which, let's get on to the art!

First up, here's this stupid thing I made on St. Patrick's day:

Next, here are some things a friend of mine asked me to draw:

Next, Cyrus Malcom, my latest Errant Character:

Penultimately, a Giant:

Lastly, the long-awaited drawing of the Dark Maiden and her Children:

It only took me a year to finally get around to drawing it!

Hey, I remember that guy on the right! Isn't he a character from a lego Wulfgard comic that either Ambad or Amarok made?

Also,  the natural 1 comic reminds me about this comic.

Biography: Cyrus was born in Appledale in the heart of the Achaean Empire. Ever since he was a boy, he had a strange fascination with the nearby Scar and the history connected to it. Since he had a lifelong fascination with the outdoors, as well as with strange creatures, he decided to become a Venator. He served for many years as a starry-eyed huntsman, until one day, he and three other Venators followed a group of Beast-folk into the Scar. However, the Beast-folk turned out to be illusions created by Hidden Cultists, who had lured them into a trap. Though putting up a good fight, he and his hunting partners were eventually captured and taken back to the cultist’s lair, where then tortured and experimented on. The other three eventually succumbed to their wounds and were harvested for the creation of revenants: Cyrus only survived because the was not considered fit enough for such things. Eventually, months after being captured, Cyrus was rescued by a group of Inquisitors who had eventually tracked down the Hidden. In the ensuing battle, he was forced to fight his now undead comrades, scarring him emotionally as he was physically. The Inquisitors guided him back to Castle Greywatch, where he covered his deformed body with armor taken from his fallen Hunting Partners. Nobody knows the true extent of his injuries, as he always wears his armor.

Personality: Cyrus used to be bring and full of energy, searching every nook and cranny of the world for trinkets and animals. Now he is quiet, cold and reserved. This is most likely due to his horrific past, or because he can’t get close to people in case they discover how deformed he now is.

Campaign History:

Was a former hunting partner with Agethar Twin-axe, though their friendship has dwindled over the years because of lack of contact.

#486746 Dalton's Assorted Artwork and Random Stuff

That last one's from the Hobbit 3, or inspired by it, correct?

It is from the movie. Legolas kills it in the normal version, and Bofur rides it around in the extended edition.

I origionally hated it, but now I love it because of its stupidity. :D

Anyways, on to the art!

First up, fan-art of an Orruk from Warhammer:

Next, a Peacock:

Finally, the last of the Delving too Deep drawings:

#486659 Dalton's Assorted Artwork and Random Stuff

Posted by Dalton Westmoore on 17 February 2018 - 11:08 AM

Well, I watched a bunch of their Christmas movies as a kid, but not much else. I randomly watched The Last Unicorn on Netflix a year or two ago because I remembered hearing good things about it during the MLP craze. I really, really liked it. I'd put it among my favorite animated movies now.
These look really cool! But you're not gonna call them Chaos Races, right? I mean, that's kind of our Wulfgard thing. :P Most fantasy settings call them something like goblinoids or ogroids.
Love the armor! Your females are getting better too. Though maybe you could make the chin a little smaller...

You should check out their version of the Hobbit and Return of the King. Not sure if you would like them or not, but if you enjoyed the art style of the Last Unicorn you'll love them for it.

Oops, they're actually called the Fell Races. I forgot to call them the right thing. :I

Anyways, on to the art!

First up, fantasy doodles!:

Next, a drawing of orcs from different Fantasy Universes:

Next, this that I made:

Lastly, the Chain-eyed Battle Troll!:

#486637 NPCs Needed

Posted by Dalton Westmoore on 14 February 2018 - 08:46 AM

I do plan on posting some characters here (or most likely some art of the different factions), but I do have two suggestions:

1: You might want to make a more defined character sheet for people to fill out, like this

2: You might want to flesh the descriptions of the different realms/factions. I get that the realms are based off of ones in the real world, but how are they portrayed differently in a fantasy universe? As for the factions, I like the descriptions you have for them already, but you could expand on it a little more.
