#485240 General LEGO Discussion

Posted by Spider-Man on 16 July 2017 - 08:48 AM

The whole movie looks more like Thor got dropped into a Guardians of the Galaxy sequel

You mean like... When he gets... dropped onto some planet? And kidnapped to fight on Sakaar? ...The planet Ronan's soldiers come from?

It's almost like they're tying everything together for an even bigger movie next year  :whistling:

*cough*Right, this is a Lego thread. I finally picked up the Vulture set. Wings are way too big, but that's easily rectified when I get back home to my collection. Everything else I'm happy with. Though. Is Spidey the same in both Homecoming sets? I know he's slightly different than the CW one.

Yeah, I bought it the day it came out for digital release. I'd been dying to watch it again.

Oooh, right, that was in Winter Soldier.

Actually there's several people in this closed FB group in in that are all "Team Tony, why was Cap so mean blah blah blah" and I'm just like. Seriously? How. Whut..?

It did help me realize something, though.

Wasn't it also convenient how he ditched his jacket the scene before, so you could see his biceps?

Also, was I the only one who thought there were Dorito's in a cereal dispenser in the Avengers HQ kitchen?

I mean I haven't read much comics-wise, either, but within 30 seconds of his first scene I was already psyched for next year's movie. I would honestly just about trust Marvel with my life right now.

HOLY CRAP it was PERFECT ;-;

All I can really think is that I'm so glad I'm going again tomorrow afternoon. Maybe I'll actually get to hear some lines people laughed over, too. But yeah. More thoughts later, probably.

There's nothing stopping Marvel and Chris from renewing their contract, and the "Chris wants to move on to directing" thing was ages ago. I'm fairly confident I saw a later interview in which he clarified that he loved playing Cap and was totally down for continuing, and that the previous statements were taken out of context.

Either way, he has no obligation to extend his contract, so please stop painting Chris as a victim.

He's too moral of a character to take his shirt off. I mean, modesty is at stake, sure, but just as much as not wanting others to lust after him, he doesn't want to make anyone feel bad about themselves. Plus he's just humble like that.

See I get where you're coming from... But I can't help but feel like the MCU is a bit crowded with tv shows right now. Or will be very soon, at least.

I can't recall whether JJ is getting a second series, but we've got Luke Cage and Iron Fist coming... I was honestly shocked to learn DD was getting a second run to himself, because if all of the Defenders' shows keep going it'd be nearly impossible for most people to keep up. Which is part of what makes me wonder if some of the big plot stuff that DD S2 set up is gonna be for the Defenders miniseries. (I also don't remember whether or not DD S3 is a thing or not.)

But even if the Defenders are done somewhere in there, were supposed to be getting a Damage Control workplace comedy at some point, and I believe I read that we're getting like three other Marvel shows of various genres. One of those was speculated to be Punisher in that article, but I think that was the same article that denied Punisher being for-sure.

I dunno, obviously Daredevil is the biggest of the Defenders' names, so hopefully his show will continue and the others will just die off as they build up to the miniseries, and then Punisher can get his own run once they've cleared the market in a few years.

(Sorry for all the unsurity--I'd fact-check a bit, but I haven't had a computer for a while now and doing everything on mobile is a pain in the butt.)

What if they cast Gary Oldman as JJJ...?

But yeah considering they used JK for JJJ in Ultimate Spider-Man...? I'd say Marvel's definitely down for it. Hopefully they can work it all out.

Where's the red? Where's Matt's face?

I mean, I get that he's blind, but that looks like they took his picture and smushed his eyebrows down and cheeks up, elongating his jaw and cranium.

I'm sure the red is just the lighting, there. He usually does his vigilante-ing in the dark, you know  :P

...I think I'm gonna rewatch this somewhere in here. I need to properly prepare myself for Season 2. Hopefully I can get my iPad to run Netflix again...

It just struck me... Bucky straight up tries to shoot Tony in the face here. Is he still a bit brainwashed or does Tony do some baaaad crap? (Or does Bucky just have a temper, but c'mon he's not a bad guy. Bullets in faces is pretty serious stuff.)

Also the longer I stare at this beautiful GIF, the more I see. That thing stays fingerless, it's not designed to be part of a suit by any means. Which just makes it better IMO. I love the section of IM3 when Tony goes off without his suit ^_^
