I'll be using this space to post my many art-ish things, I'm too lazy to go hog-wild posting but to start us off, some minimalist Clone/Stormtrooper helmets I brewed up quickly

Wow, that's some pretty great pixel-art, overall! Even if it is a little on the small side... I don't suppose I could request for something that's just larger, in general? :P

Dude, these are pretty creepy. I like them. I kind of envy the more stylized look. When I was younger, I was always injesting and trying to imitate art that was realistic and hard edge. You know "gritty". But not with enough personality. These strike a good balance. They kind of remind me of the Odd world stuff. Keep up the good work, Herbert!

I very much appreciate the skill that realism takes, and understand the need to develop skills in realism as a foundation, but I always prefer a touch of stylization over pure realism. Oddworld wasn't an intentional source though I can see what you're saying, it's a highly distinct franchise, with each character and local dripping with personality.

Oh sorry, that sentence was edited in wrong! Oh my gosh. I meant to say, the realistic style that I used to imitate lacked personality, not your art. I need to watch my editing, I'll start looking like Simon Cowell if I'm not careful, overly brutal and all. Foot is firmly implanted in mouth >.<

Do not worry about it all, keep your foot out of your mouth, it's absurdly unsanitary.

Real talk: I just got a new tablet, and I'm still figuring it out, this drawing was purely photoshop, as opposed to a scan, which is what I already prefer to do.

Like the design, it's unique.

Your style and designs transcend both pixelated and drawn forms, I love your stuff, as always.

Dude, this is amazing! Nice stuff! Any chance you'll be throwing some NRE into the mix?

That's some seriously high praise, I like doing more traditional drawings but in low-res pixelly-ness because it tends to work well with my tendency to draw very small. That pixel art scaled up 200% for better visibility, with each "pixel" actually being composed of 4.

Dude, this is amazing! Nice stuff! Any chance you'll be throwing some NRE into the mix?

I lost all of my old sheets during the Great Hard Drive Switcheroo of '14 and have been unable to replace them because of the Great Maj Mixup, so for the time being, no.
That being said, I helped out Trex with some NRE stuff recently, but I'll leave it to him to decide if he wants to share it or not.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with drawing small*, if that's what you prefer. I definitely do small drawings when I'm warming up. It's just faster and faster means I'm less depressed when I screw up. It's the same reason I prefer pen to pencil.

I like the shading and style of that first piece, really nice. The clouds are done well, can never make a realistic cloud for the life of me.
