Okay, so I bought Oblivion IV a couple of weeks ago, and finally decided to play it. After getting to level 6, I was sorely disappointed to discover there were no spears in the game, and got pretty pissed at this revelation. Sooo I go to GameStop hoping to pick up Dragon Age in order to use the spears in that, only for them to tell me there weren't any polearms in that game either! How can you call yourself an RPG when your only weapon choices are shortswords, longswords and claymore swords? It's ridiculous really.
So my question is, are there any modern (read: PS3-late PS2) RPGs that allow you to use a polearm? To my knowledge, only Final Fantasy games seem to show any respect to the polearm section of weapons.
Oh, and don't say MMOs because A: they're not true RPGs and B: they're wielded as super long swords, not actual thrusting weapons
Rise of the Argonauts comes to mind, but it's a very linear RPG, unlike Oblivion and Dragon Age

Go ahead and flame my veganism but, considering I'm a Jainist, that's religious persecution and as such warnable.

Anyways, I'm hardly on here, and when I am it's either lurking or making random posts. it's not that I don't like you guys, it's just I have better things to do :P

If you'd like to get into any disussion with me about anything, that's fine, but don't flame me and call me stupid for my beliefs, or I will report you.

Oh, and if I feel like it, I'll troll you, but using ACTUAL logic.
Okay, so I might invent my own logic if I'm truly just doing it for the lulz, but that's rare
