Man, I missed RvB. I'm glad it's back for a new offshoot series, but, of course, and you all know this, nothing beats the old original series.

Saw it earlier today. Not all that great, but still quite fun. The silly segments were just that: silly. The whole theater laughed, but I didn't find it all that amusing. It was pretty action-packed and I've got to say that the characters introduced in this one were pretty cool, but that's abut as far as my opinion for this movie goes. It was long too, not that I have a problem with that. tongue.gif

I remember one scene that really bugged me. It was at the beginning, with young Kirk. I mean when he was a kid. That was pretty weird if you ask me. When that scene ended, it hit like a brick wall. Basically a mix between Robocop, Home Alone and The Fast and the Furious, since the cop was, well, I assume to be a robot, or maybe a guy with high-tech armour. He was just a kid, all alone, hence the Home Alone part. The Fast and the Furious is most obvious, when he's being chased by the cop. The scene was weird. Also, Ter Loki, you've got a point about Chekov in this. He wasn't the old Chekov I remembered either, and he bugged me a bit, but was still sort of okay. I miss his hunt for the Nuclear Wessel, though. One of the best Chekov moments. Enterprise, along with all the other Starfleet ships looked pretty weird, and the thing that bugged me the most was the nacelles, but the secondary hull wasn't that great looking either. Well, you can't have everything.

What's all this talk about Tom Cruise? Shouldn't you take this somewhere else and get back on topic?

Sorry I sound like a mod, but just wait for a real one to come along.
