#415917 General LEGO Discussion

Posted by Nightstalker on 16 November 2013 - 10:53 PM

Honestly, I was looking at a couple sets (Merida's and Rapunzel's specifically) and thinking that I might get them for some of the castle-y pieces. You actually think, though, that boys- at whom Lego aims their castle line- would buy sets filled with purple? Some, sure, but the majority not as likely. (At least not the lavender shade- Danju was pretty legit.) Either way, these sets fit in quite well with any Castle theme- that's the thing about Legos :P

Again, that's just my AFOL side speaking. For the same reason I also dislike LEGO not reusing really cool pieces (such as that all Bley Sandskiff Helmet). Well that and my general dislike of Disney.

That rant aside and now ended...

Check your local 5 Below folks!!! You can now find BrickWarriors Warrior packs in them! So if you happen to have a store nearby, you can stock up on some pieces.

#410717 Slaying the Werewolf

Posted by Nightstalker on 15 August 2013 - 09:59 PM

*Casts Flame Shield on self*  :lego_tongue:

dsc03078.jpg

The Kingdom of Hislith was once plagued by vicious werewolves, until one man broke through fear and fought them. Sir Edorin Gwyn rose against the foul beasts, slaying them one by one. During 3E23, Sir Edorin tracked the last werewolf down to the emerald mine, where he engaged the alpha werewolf.

dsc03083.jpg

Even with the strength of a full moon, the werewolf was felled by Sir Edorin's mighty blade. Any werewolves that remained fled to the corners of Hislith or neighboring kingdoms. To this day, the pelt of the alpha werewolf is one of the most valuable trophies in the King Hykerie's treasury.

#410610 Black Lance Guildhouse: 7th Floor

Posted by Nightstalker on 13 August 2013 - 04:59 PM

It's been awhile since I posted anything (though I get the feeling many are getting tired of the constant "spam" of LEGO MOC's), but I decided to finish off the 7th floor of my 4 year project (yeah it has been that long). Hope you enjoy the quick tour of the Black Lance Guildhouse: 7th Floor.

Please note that the portals were not done correctly due to lack of pieces, but everything else is basically finished.

dsc03054.jpg

The 7th floor is divided into two separate rooms: The vault and the guild lounge.

dsc03056.jpg

dsc03057.jpg

In order to ensure the guild members can thoroughly relax, a full bar was installed with plenty of beverages and a full-time bartender to ensure specialty drinks can be prepared. He has won various trophies and is fully capable of fulfilling his duties.

dsc03058.jpg

However, for those not looking for specialty beverages, mead, ale, and wine are also supplied to this floor as well. For those who are not necessarily into those beverages, a barrel of water is also provided.

dsc03059.jpg

Guild members are highly encouraged to tell tale's of their great adventures. The seat of honor allows guild members to put themselves at the center of attention as they tell stories or show off great trophies!

dsc03060.jpg

And why not listen to these stories while enjoying a tasty beverage! It is all about relaxing after difficult quests.

dsc03061.jpg

Some guild members enjoy games of wit and skill. A King's Table (credit to idea comes from Garmadon from EB forums) board was built in the lounge for those who wish to challenge others to a tactical game. Here we can see a mage and a knight engaged in a game.

dsc03062.jpg

Paintings and various decorations in the lounge.

dsc03063.jpg

This area is one of the more comfortable areas of the lounge. A small table (typically used for playing cards or just discussing various things) and fireplace add a nice home-like feel to the floor.

dsc03064.jpg

Of course, sometimes after difficult quests, you just want to collapse on the nearest couch!

Now, onto the vault.

dsc03065.jpg

The vault requires two keys to unlock. They are carried specifically by the Guild Master and his wife (who I would not want to mess with either). The door itself cannot be damaged, making it perfect for guarding guild treasure.

dsc03066.jpg

The guild vault holds many valuables including gold and gems (which I need much more of).

dsc03067.jpg

Crafting embers (these happen to be for obsidian and ice-steel weaponry).

dsc03068.jpg

Legendary Weapons

dsc03069.jpg

Gold Ingots

dsc03070.jpg

Magical Trinkets that grant strength, magic, stamina, or speed enhancements.

dsc03071.jpg

Crystal Shards, which are useful for crafting powerful, magic, items

dsc03073.jpg

The magic wisp (light in a jar), and last, but not least, the Shield of Zyrx, which magically protects the entire guildhouse.

I hope you enjoyed this quick tour through the floor.

Two more floors left to go...

As usual

#410307 GoH: Ko-Sun Emperor's Chamber

Posted by Nightstalker on 06 August 2013 - 10:34 PM

Full story here: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=85505

Details as it pertains to my actual story...

dsc03036.jpg

The Emperor's Chamber exists within each main city of the Extraho Sol Empire. While the most elegant chamber rest within the capital, the numerous nature of these chambers allows the Emperor's voice to be heard across the land. Rather than showing himself, a small garden and cistern are left in the room, resembling a land of great, magical power. Very few have ever seen him, but it is known that he existed prior to 1E00.

#410232 GoH: Ko-Sun Imperial Garden

Posted by Nightstalker on 05 August 2013 - 06:52 PM

Another build for GoH on EB forums. Story can be found here: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=85468

Otherwise enjoy the explanation as it fits in my own specific story (not GoH).

dsc02978.jpg

The imperial garden of Ko-Sun is one of the many training grounds for aspiring samurai in the Extraho Sol Empire. Many recruits come here to learn how to be better swordsmen. This particular garden lies in Ko-Sun City, just east of the capital city, Sol City.
