5 Years of Memories
Spoiler

I've been playing Warframe for 5 years now. I've seen the game evolve since Update 8 back in 2013 with less than 2 million players. I was lucky enough to find the game and become a Founder. I didn't know how long the game would last, but I decided the game was worth founding. I actually hated the art style of the game in the beginning, but over time I came to love it dearly. When I started, there were only 13 Warframes, the only 2 Prime's were Excalibur Prime and Frost Prime. I remember grinding for Trinity, it took 40+ runs because you weren't guaranteed a Warframe part for killing a boss. The parts were pink orbs that were dropped upon death and you had to pick them up or you didn't get it. Heaven forbid the pink orb fell out of the map. Councilor Vay Hek was just a yellow Grineer Trooper with a Hek instead of a Strun. Captain Vor was just a bright red Grineer Flameblade that used a Prova, before the Prova was even a weapon.

I remember when they changed the UI to the dynamic one we have now. I remember the floating-in-space Arsenal, the old school models of bosses and the 3 tilesets in the game. I remember when the first new tilesets came out that reflected the planets we were fighting on. When Auras were added, then Exilus mods. When they removed the Warframe ability mods and made them unlockable through leveling a Warframe and freeing up mod space. When they added the Orbiter, Archwings, Kubrows, and Kavats. My Kubrow, Lex Talionis, died when Kubrows were first released, and we became part of the 501st, the 501 Kubrows that died permanently. I was there when they added clans to the game, then Alliances, and the clans waged war over domination of the Dark Sectors, now the Dark Sectors are quiet.

When Bullet Jump was an ability called Super Jump that only Excalibur had. When Radial Javelin was Excalibur's ultimate. When the Acrid and Ogris were the kings of Warframe, then the Boltor Prime, Soma, and Soma Prime. When Nitain Extracts, Tellurium, Oxium, Cyrotic, and Kuva didn't exist. When you didn't need Endo to level up a mod because it didn't exist. When Phobos, Lua, and Europa didn't exist. When the Sergeant was on Mars and dropped Mag, and when Ambulas on Pluto dropped Excalibur. When there used to be a Stamina bar and the Zorencopter. When there were no Stances or combos for melee weapons. When there were no Junctions, no Cetus, no Fortuna, no Zaws, no Kitguns, no MOA pets, no Relays, no Baro Ki'Teer, and no trading. Before there was Prime Access I was there.

There were no Void Relics, you had to have a Void Key to enter the Void to get Prime parts. When Loki was a starter Warframe, not Volt. Banshee used to drop from missions on Mercury. Volt dropped from the J2000 Golem, and Phorid had a dedicated planet and node to farm him whenever you wanted Nyx. Invasions, Sorties, Arbitrations, and Quests didn't exist. Warframe had no story when I started, there was no lore, and no Codex as well. Raid missions no longer exist now. Exterminate missions had a set number of enemies, once you killed everyone, that ship was silent with just you on it. Then they added Survival, Excavate, Rescue, Spy, and Interception mission types. They added the Nightmare missions and the Orokin Derelict with the Vaults.

I've made tons of friends through Warframe, some I never talk to anymore, but still have memories nevertheless. I've even met someone I played with in real life, and got to know him pretty well. I've seen a lot of good come out of this game's community. I've seen how wonderful a playerbase can be and how no matter in the world we are, we are willing to talk and listen to another and help each other out. I've spent hours just sitting in my Orbiter or a Dojo just talking with people.

Pictured is my Excalibur Prime, my main Warframe, with a Tiberon Prime assault rifle. My 'Havoc' loadout, the one that gets me through thick and then.

All in all, I'm thankful for Warframe and the 5 years of memories.

Born to Betray

Rather tragic the story of the Clone Trooper. They were born to fight. They weren't human to others, expect for the Jedi they fought and died alongside. The Jedi saw that they were more than a soldier, each one unique even though they were all clones. The Jedi became their friends, but came the dreaded Order 66. They had to gun down the Jedi, their friends, the ones they fought and bleed aside with. The ones who first saw individual beyond the armor, the face. Then used to enforce a tyrannical government. These are they born to betray.

Trinity Trooper 2019
Spoiler

Some may remember my Trinity Troopers setting. The Trinity Troopers have been around since freshman year of high school meaning they've been with me for a good 7 years. I decided to redesign them this year.

I made the breastplate of the cuirass based upon pike hulls of tanks such as the IS-3 or T71 Detroit Arsenal to maximize protection. Obvious inspiration from Clone Troopers of Star Wars, though I tried to base it on suits of armor. This panoply is complete with front and backplates for the cuirass, pauldrons, rerebraces, couters, vambraces, gauntlets, codpiece, cuisses, poleyn, and greaves. Helmet is based upon a barbute. The rifle is based upon the M1918 BAR. This is a bare bones panoply upon the body of a fresh recruit.

Trinity Military Forces still use ballistics as their primary weapons of choice due to cost of energy weapons. Ballistics are considered crude and messy by most species due to energy weapons typically killing upon a hit and cauterizing wounds of those hit. With this movement towards energy weapons being the norm, civilizations are advancing defenses against energy weapons and less so against ballistic weapons. The Trinity remains unchanging to capitalize upon defenses being useless against such crude archaic weapons and exploiting it.

Are they painting their armors in camo colors for some operations? Or sticks to the white?

They typically use the colors to identify themselves from other divisions. I may explore with actual camouflage such as Flecktarn, Multicam, etc.

Thanks, you may expect a new panoply and/or rifle soon.

38th Relief Division

The 38th Relief Division are peacekeepers. Their mission is to clean up and maintain recently war ravaged sectors. They provide relief via medicine, food, water, clothing, homes, and other necessities for the war torn.
This Trooper is using the standard issue MR1 machine rifle with a built-in bipod and hybrid optics. Optics include a 4x magnification scope and non-magnifying holographic sight. His sling is missing from his rifle. Standard 30 round magazine is used.
The MR1 machine rifle is a rapid firing, low recoil weapon. The long barrel machine rifles of the Trinity Troopers is based on their axiom, "Every Trooper a machine gunner". All Troopers should carry a weapon with writhing firepower to suppress hostiles during advances and provide covering fire for retreats. The idea is also to wage psychological warfare when any enemy engages the Trinity, they have to deal with an army of machine guns.

Let us begin with a set of 3 gesture drawings. Gesture drawings are short drawings typically used for practice.

Spoiler

This was 10 minutes. The subject is a M4A1 Sherman medium tank.

Spoiler

Again, I drew for 10 more minutes. I know not if I will finish this or not.

Spoiler

Here is an M5 Stuart light tank. I decided to do this last one with a gel pen, no turning back. Again, alloted time was 10 minutes. Fun fact, the M5 Stuart was an upgrade for the M3A1 Stuart light tank which then became the M3A3 Stuart LT, and finialized as the M5A1 Stuart light tank.

Spoiler

I am in an arms race of tanks with 4 other artists. We decided to start in 1915-1920, the birthera of tanks. This is the flag of the Order of the Triumvirate. The white shield represents the defense of purity and innocence. The black zweihander for marital prowess and the willingness to defend the purity and innocence of their country till extinction. A blue ribbon for valor on and off the field of battle. Three roads that lead to another, a symbol of the alliance of the kingdoms of Bristol, Arlington, and Mundelin. The field of orange for the vast crops grown upon the fertile ground of the Order of the Triumvirate.

Spoiler

The first tank of the Order of the Triumvirate, the T1 Bristol light tank.
Armament: T1 1in/25.4mm L/12 Tank Gun (Length of barrel is 12 calibers, or 12x1in=1ft)
Armor: 0.75in/19mm to 0.25in/6mm
Hull: 0.75in/0.5in/0.25in
Turret: 0.75in/0.75in/05in
Weight: 7.5 tons
Description: The T1 Bristol light tank was the first of its kind. It mounts a long barrel 1in gun for infantry support during charges. It puts puts along at an okay pace.

Due to the Order of the Triumvirate being made up of 3 different groups, each group will design tanks differently. The Bristol are French inspired, the Arlington will be American, while the Mundelin will be the Germans. I may sneak in some Swedish infulences later on.

Spoiler

I redrew the T1 Bristol LT and gave it a nice 3 tone camouflage consisting of orange, tan, and the stock white.

Spoiler

The 113th Jump Division is an invasion force. Jumping from cruising altitude or space, these Troopers are fallen angels. Angels with a vengeance.

Mechanical pencil, gel pen, and colored pencils.
32 minutes.
3.25x4.25in

This was probably my most productive artistic day in a very long time.

Cheers.
