The council of Faermoore has hired us to seek out two of their archaeologists. They were last seen in northern Altrairia, which more than likely means they have been captured. Thanks to some head knowledge from some of your guildmates, I have an idea where you can begin your search. Along the northwest coast of Altrairia lies Dungarc prison; if they are captured, they will more than likely be there.

War in the North: Part 2

 

 

The Hislithian war room sat silent. One hour ago, a courier arrived, bringing news of the impending Nord attack. General Marcus, Commander Valcen, and the Hislith Champion, Edorin Gwyn crowded around the war room table.

 

 

"Perhaps they'll use the forest. It will give them plenty of cover against our catapults." Marcus started. "I'm not so sure about that. Seeing as how the mountains are so close to the shoreline, there is nothing stopping them from bringing their own artillery and catching us off guard." Valcen replied. 

 

 

"Both of you do remember who we're fighting, right? These are Nords that follow Lokren and the Wintershield Guild. Any attacks they make will be on foot. Besides, have you forgotten that their artillery is gone? I know Lokren, they will come straight to our gates, and I say we meet them!" Edoring commented in an angry tone.

 

 

"You seized two villages to get that artillery! Our job is simply to ensure the trade pact with Northshire is followed; we are not here to terrorize the locals." Marcus replied. "I specifically remember that you stopped me from pursuing them further into the mountains. Now look at this mess..." Edorin was cut off before he could continue. "Regardless of the past, we have a battle ahead of us; the soldiers have been rallied and are awaiting orders." Valcen stated. The General sigh before agreeing to Edorin's plan. Something seemed off to him, while the Nords hated Hislithian interference with their ways, they never decided to randomly attack.

Nightstalker, single-handedly keeping the LEGO boards alive! I applaud your creations and only wish more would rally to your cause.

 

Love the little war room. Though it's funny how one guy (Marcus or Valcen?) looks so happy and the other guy (Edorin?) looks so angry.

Guild Quest: Molthak the Ancient

This quest originally started as a C ranked quest. The guild was hired to escort a merchant, but it seems the quest changed dramatically. According to Azshara's report, rather than meeting a merchant, she found the remains of several warriors. Shortly afterwards, she was attacked by Molthak the Ancient, King of Worms. While the beast was not slain, she managed to repel the beast and report in.

About Molthak the Ancient

- Molthak is an ancient worm that is covered in the trappings of old battles. Netting and chains from those who tried to climb the beast are around the beast. This monster is very intelligent and has even donned the skulls of fallen hunters. Rumor has it that the key around its neck is the key to an ancient treasure buried in the Savadjik desert.

That worm is awesome. I love how it's covered in the nets and chains! Great work. Now I don't know if this is a weird question, but have you ever thought of doing a comic here on SSLF? I'm sure that a lot of people would be more than interested to witness the battles and quests of your guild. I know you already put together so much for the LEGO board, but it would be awesome to see that. 

 

Regardless, keep it up. I'll be here, enjoying the fantasy MOC's!

War in the North: Part 3

 

 

Lokren grabbed his guildsmen and marched towards the shores. Men and women of valor grabbed arms to defend their ways. Everyone had malice for the Hislithian soldiers. They would not go unpunished for their offenses. Everyone knew it was time for retribution. But even as they marched towards the western shore of Northshire, Lokren knew something was amiss; he did not know what, but he had a feeling he would not like what he found.

I have to applaud you're constant dedication to posting better and better mocs before I do anything else!

Everytime you post something I mean to comment but for some reason I never do - But not today!

As for the Moc - The foliage on the tree looks fantastic! And the layering of white leaves over the green ones is just oozing charm! You did a great job coming up with a nice assortment of figs that all look different but look like they've come from the same place.

I find your MOCs in which you incorporate foliage are my favorite. That Oasis and recently the large snow-topped tree are two of my favorite pieces from you. It's fantastic to see so much improvement in your technique and build-style. And I'm always looking forward to seeing stuff from you.

Avarian Rangers have reported that a thief will be attempting to steal an artifact from the Temple of Light. Unfortunately, with most of the paladins busy fighting the pestilence, we have been tasked with fighting the thief. Ensure you either kill or repel the thief, but take caution, rumor has it he fights for the Shadowstalker Guild.

The air was exceptionally cold today. Hislithians were never fond of cold weather; they were bitter even more because of the Nords. Edorin lead the advance on foot, but even he felt something bad in the air. He did not have much time to dwell on that thought; battle lied ahead of him, and the other officers needed him to be at his best. Both Marcus and Valcen knew this would be bloody. Everyone readied themselves on the way to battle.

Quest #4: Home Invasion

Guild members were dispatched to southern Hislith to protect a noble's home from a bandit invasion. Upon arrival, they found the home under attack by Dakerion soldiers. Both members acted quickly to dispatch the invaders, ensuring that very little property damage was done.

War in the North: Part 5

 

 

At the first sight of the opposing force, battle broke out. All that could be heard from the base of the mountain was the sound of weapons clashing and the screams of dying soldiers. Both sides fought fiercely; any doubts or concerns left the minds of the leaders as they fought. The only words that were said before the battle:

 

"Lokren is mine." Claimed Edorin.

 

"Leave Edorin to me." Barked Lokren.

 

The battle seemed long, but ended quickly. By that time, both Edorin and Lokren had disappeared into the nearby forest to settle the matter. The Hislithians were forced to retreat as Commander Valcen fell. As they retreated, the rest of the Nords pushed towards the Hislithian fortress. 

 

The only ones still fighting were Edorin and Lokren. And they were alone...

It is a well known fact that people do not get along. It is also a well known fact that the four guilds do not get along all the time either. However, a little known fact is that the guildmasters do not necessarily get along too well. I find myself meeting with the other guildmasters to determine some form of a way to test our guild's prowess.Unfortunately, it seems that we can neither come up with a neutral location nor come up with a set of tasks or criteria for evaluation. Edorin has already shown disapproval to Lokren's suggestions; he even made it more clear as he hurled his goblet of wine across the room. Lord Svelos had suggested the Black Mountain, which was not far off from the Highlands, but it is far too close to the Drow ruins. The last thing I want is for some ancient being to wake up and pay us a visit...

 

After several hours of debate, we seemed to come up with a good spot. We figured the Valley of Yra in Avaria would be a perfect location. It is away from everyone and it has plenty of room to set up an arena. We also decided it would be best to have a tournament to test the strength of our guilds. I can only hope that we can come up with a set of rules before morning.
