Hey folks!

 

Been awhile since I said anything, so I figure I ought to say something. Does anyone have any nerdy things? Whether it's figures, replicas, posters or whatever out there?

 

Recently, I've found myself gathering replica weapons from various games. I'll start by showing off my most recent acquisition:

 

 

Dark Drinker from Destiny 1.

 

This goes up there as one of my top 3 swords (1 - Ashbringer, 2 - Dark Drinker, 3 - Moonlight Greatsword). I bought it from Fire and Steel (fireandsteel.ca), and I am quite happy with how durable it is!

 

 

 

It was a sword with a spin to win, and possibly my favorite exotic!

You're correct, that is one cool sword!  And I'm glad you added that it's durable, nerdy toys like swords are meant to be played with, after all.

 

Thank you for the link, I've been looking for a good place for replica swords that are more than just wallhangers.  I'll see about posting pictures of my own nerdy things soon.

Still being nerdy, and trust me, this day has blown me away for many reasons. But my bro decided to get me a gift.

Back in the first post, I mentioned how this is without a doubt my favorite sword of all time! Perfect for purging nasty undead and demons; it's the perfect legendary weapon for Paladins. This thing wasn't cheap at a whopping $400. I can't thank him enough for gifting this to me.

 

 

One of the many things that have made this day stupidly good! Fun fact, I had to go on a lovely quest to the post office to get this since the apartment number was not on the address.

I'm pretty sure I got them from Reaper Miniatures, but if you're interested in minis I have several great sites I can recommend

I'm personally a fan of Hero Forge for OCs, however...

 

Gonna have to check out Reaper for NPCs and enemies.

Sooo... I've recently found myself diving into collecting Warhammer 40k minis. Went ahead and painted up some Black Templar Primaris Marines. For a first time painting, I think they turned out half decent. I've got another quick snap figure I need to paint, and then I've got to assemble and paint another group of ten.

 

Liking these guys so far. They'll definitely help keep my room free of xenos filth...

14 Black Templar Primaris Intercessors - Bad quality picture, but I'm quite proud of them!

 

 

3 Dark Angel Primaris Intercessors - Painted for my brother. Doing green is much easier than having to deal with white. Seriously, you have to layer white to make it come out clean.

 

 

4 Hero Forge Minis from left to right: Ingrin Araro (DnD Paladin), Stormblade (OC from my own story), Ciara Halsen (DnD Rogue), Ace (Starbound OC)

 

I'll have to get close up pictures of them for more detail at some point.

But yeah...

That's what I've been super busy with. Painting and running a Homebrew DnD campaign (currently on session 18). Anyways, that's it for now!

Excellent painting!  I've wanted to get into Warhammer miniatures for a while, but lacked the funds, patience, and steady hands for this scale of craftsmanship.  The Dark Angels look stellar, and I always love the Black Templars.

 

Ace and Stormblade are my favorites from the last 4 figures, very dynamically posed and interestingly colored.  Well done!

Finished another 4 Intercessors!

 

I now have 1 Silver Paladin Intercessor Squad.

It'll probably be a bit before I get the next squad done. I still need to go back and grab a blue contrast paint. Well, that and I'm expecting the last DnD figure for my ongoing campaign to show up. I might talk about that more once the campaign finishes; by then, I should have the entire group as minis.

Got a Captain of the Silver Paladins painted! I still need to get a pic of my Inceptors and Hellblasters as well. I'm currently up to 14 space marines for my homebrew chapter. The next unit will either be a lieutenant or a librarian, but that won't be until after the next batch of Heroforge figures get in.

Looking good!  I especially like the detail you got on smaller parts like those tomes, your hands and brush must be quite steady.
