Nope. :P

I might just sign-up as a River-alike.

Quick question, anyone interested in signing-up as part of a group? Kinda like duos, except different people play one character each and all of our characters know eachother. I think it would be pretty fun, especially with the idea I have. PM me if you're interested... unless Miss Wolf has any objections?

Okay, hear me out, because as soon as you see what I'm going to do you'll probably sigh and roll your eyes. But here's my pitch for a pair of Deep Dwarf brothers. If you don't want pairs (especially of dwarves, since there are limited spots) I entirely understand and can alter the character/s accordingly.

Argh, I wasn't planning on duos or having too many dwarves, but the characters are too cool! And you put so much effort into them! :P I couldn't possibly ask you to change them now. :P

Subrace: Sea Dwarf (please  )

Alright, if you want to be one. I just didn't list them because, well, Sea Dwarves aren't exactly common this far inland. :P

You're not even trying to be subtle, are you? :P

Nope. :P

I can see that. I mean, golly, Vorgy, I know that I sign up for RPs as "-alike" characters sometimes, but at least I alter their names! :P

No objections. :) Since you're all part of a group anyway, it would make sense that some of the characters knew each other beforehand.

And I'd rather have a duo, or whatever you have in mind, where each character is actually controlled by a separate player, rather than have each player with two characters all to themselves (if that was comprehensible...). So, sure, sounds fine. :P

Just a heads-up, this RP isn't going to be nearly as long Over the Sea. This is a one-parter. Also, it probably won't start for a while; at least until two weeks from now, since I have some tests coming up that I need to study like crazy for, and I probably won't have time to manage the RP then.

So there's no grand rush signing up; just make sure that you do so before the next two weeks are up. ;) During that time, you can feel free to edit your character as much as you like. I'll be looking over all of them in more detail when the RP is closer to beginning. Right now I'm just trying to make sure everyone who wants to get in has a chance to do so.

I literally, justt sent you a PM. Okay, so disregard the part about asking permission :P Just focus on the content of the group ;)

Once again, PM me if you want in on the group, it's probably best to send it to Wolfy too to keep her in the loop as well.

Do you plan on rejecting sign-ups, or are you going to try to let everyone in? You're currently at fourteen players if Wiffles signs up.

I'm not participating, I'm just inquiring. ;) Just making sure you know.

Name: Though he does not wish to be referred to by his true and given name, this individual is commonly known only as: "Skunk...'cause he stinks!"
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Subrace: Imperial
Age: 22

Attributes
Strength: 6 - Skunk is an adamant believer of "brain over brawn".
Perception: 13 - Skunk is always on the lookout for those who might find his presence unappealing.
Endurance: 7 - Skunk has a nasty habit of refusing to die no matter how many times he is poisoned.
Agility: 15 - Skunk always finds a way to remove himself from the path of an angry man's crossbow bolt.
Charisma: 6 - Skunk's unsavory reputation and foul smell cause many people to find him unlikeable upon introduction.
Intelligence: 11 - Skunk's a smart guy, and by that it is meant that he can read a wanted poster.
Luck: 14 - Skunk is alive today due to his luck, despite that he often laments how unfortunate he considers himself.

Height: At 5'4", some men consider Skunk "too damn short to strangle."
Eye Color: The eyes of this skunk are deep brown, though their darkness does him no good when attempting to hide his mischievous nature.
Hair Color: Brown, shaggy, mangy, and foul-smelling.
Appearance: As detailed above, Skunk is a rather short fellow with dark eyes and shoulder-length, shaggy brown hair. He is incredibly thin and has limbs like skinny branches of a tree, his bony fingers serving as the twigs that tip these branches. His face is full of sharp, suspicious-looking angles with high, pronounced cheekbones and a crooked mouth. His nose is small and narrow, with a hook at the end like a predatory bird's beak. His pointed chin is tipped by a sharp goatee of coarse black hair. With oddly-shaped teeth and beady eyes, it should be no surprise that this man is a trickster. Also, he stinks!
Clothing/Armor: Skunk prefers dark and baggy clothing, as if not realizing that he looks suspicious and shady enough a character. He wears a long, dark blue cloak with a hood that conceals him when he needs it to, such as when he's hiding from all of the people who want to get some sort of retribution on him. Underneath of all that he wears light leather armor that is meant not to interfere with his slippery nature. Beneath all those protective measures he wears some modest, normal-folk clothing...which he probably took right off some normal person's back.
Weapons: Skunk tends towards smaller, more easily concealable weaponry that will not get in the way should he need to do some tight maneuvering or tricky evasion, though that's not to say he comes entirely unprepared. The man carries a shortsword on a belt beneath his cloak on his left hip. However, he prefers to keep a distance from potential aggressors with the use of his shortbow, which he tends to keep close at-hand with a small quiver of arrows on his back. Lastly, just in case someone manages to get past all of that - let alone track the man down and find him, assuming he isn't hiding in the shadows of the sewers -, Skunk also carries a dagger strapped onto his right thigh.
Accessories: In a small satchel is where Skunk carries the majority of his belongings. He has a week's worth of rations and a skin of water in case he should need to provide food for himself without daring to set foot inside of a town or city for a few days. He has a strange fondness for honey and tends to carry a jar with him at all times, usually spreading it on some bread or simply eating it right out of the container with his slimy fingers. He carries a length of rope ten feet in length, hoping that he could possibly "obtain" some extra from the caravan should he need it for anything, although he is currently without a grappling hook of any kind...not that he'd ever use it to access an area which he was not meant to enter. He carries a small metal mirror, for what reason no one could possibly imagine...he certainly doesn't care for his appearance much. In a pouch on his belt he carries a few finely-fashioned "tools of the trade," which are certainly lockpicks or some such. A final pouch hung on his belt contains any and all money he owns.
Personality: It should be quite clear by now that Skunk is a rather paranoid individual. He trusts very few people and considers no one a true friend, though his tricky nature has earned him plenty of enemies. Most people say that Skunk can't be trusted as far as he can be thrown, while others assert that he still cannot be trusted, even to that small extent. Those who have had the misfortune of meeting this man (and who have had the misfortune of finding that their coin purses were suddenly missing a few moments later) will testify to his rudeness and interest only in himself...they will also make seemingly exaggerated claims about his stench, though they are certainly telling the honest truth on this regard.
Bio: Most people believe that Skunk was born in a large city similar to Caltha, and that at a young age he was forcibly removed from his residence and sent away by his father, ostracized from his own family. He had been caught stealing in the area of the colloseum and had deeply embarrassed his family, who are believed to have been aristocrats of some kind. Apparently there was no need at all for Skunk to thieve, he simply did it for the thrill of it all. There were plenty of people who wished for Skunk's hands to be painfully removed that day, but his wealthy and powerful parents supposedly bought him his freedom by agreeing to send him away without any chance of him ever returning.
Skunk was given some money and sent out onto the road with a monthly remittance that his parents sent to keep him far away. However, back then Skunk was just as foolish if not more so than he is today, and as a result he used up much of his money on a month-to-month basis by gambling, purchasing liquor, or women, or simply losing it. As a result the man inevitably turned to thieving from others, now out of survival rather than pleasure.
He kept in touch with his parents through letters, though he never mentioned the theft. He instead wrote of great success and happiness, eventually causing his parents to sever his remittance due to the belief that he no longer required their money. Well, Skunk had no job and he had no money or success, and certainly not happiness. What he had instead was a legion of angry people that were constantly on the lookout for him because he had a habit for making money disappear.
He continued going from town to town as he traveled farther and farther North, until eventually he reached Bjornburg, where he was unfortunate enough to find that some of his enemies had caught up with him. He needed to get out of the city quickly, and it wasn't enough to simply get on a horse and ride off into the night, as that would be easily expected. When Skunk heard about the caravan that was leaving the city in just a day...well, he offered his "protection", of course!

Name: Viranna Soyare
Gender: Female
Race: Half-Elf
Subrace: Light Elf
Age: Young, equal to a human in their twenties.

Attributes
Strength: 11
Perception: 16
Endurance: 11
Agility: 16
Charisma: 3
Intelligence: 13 (Literate, she was tutored at home)
Luck: 3

Height: She is 5'9"
Eye Color: She has bright blue eyes, with tendrils of pale green snaked throught.
Hair Color: Her hair used to be brown in color, but since her time with the Blackbloods, it has been tainted to black.
Appearance: Viranna Her hair is cut short though, reaching down to the bottom of her neck.
Clothing/Armor: She wears a brown cloak with a hood, soft leather boots and gloves, black pants that lace up the sides. She wears a loose, black cloth shirt(Think pirate shirt) with leather pauldrons. She wears leather greaves and bracers.
Weapons: Viranna carries two misericordes on her thighs and crossbow on her back with the quiver behind her head. She also carries an oak staff with steel caps on each end.
Accessories: Viranna travels lightly. She only carries food, a whetstone, and flint. She also has a pendant of the Star of Astra around her neck.
Personality: Viranna is socially... inept. Not awkward, but simply not a social person. She almost never initiates coversation, and her interactions are usually confrontational and/or hostile. She has little to no sense of personal boundaries, and equally little regard for her own body, he is kind of an emotional berserker. Since the death of her father, she has taken to be bipolar, most likely due to the inner conflict in her soul since she used to be part of the Blackbloods, an almost demonic group of Monster Hunters and now she has been converted to Astra. She sometimes whispers what others believe is only nonsense to herself.
Bio: Viranna was born to a human father and a Light Elf mother. Her mother was a merchant, and her father was a preist. They lived in Springwood, but away from their elven kinsmen. Her parents were always a little odd. Her father travelled to towns like Eloh often, to minister as a priest or accompany freelance monster hunters into the Forest of Shadows and Rognosst Swamp. Her mother travelled between Illikon and other neighboring cities. One day, her mother's trade caravan was attacked on the way to Illikon, an attack later accounted to a pack of Werewolf bandits. Her father was broken. He forced her to begin martial trianing, and over the next decade, she had been broken and rebuilt in a deadly weapon of her father. Ten years after he mother was killed, her father took her to the town of Eloh, where in the basement of a tavern, she was knocked out and taken out of the city, all by her fathers comands. She was forced by her father to join the Blackbloods, but by the time her father relinquished his controlling nature over her, she was already addicted to the monster's power derived from consuming their flesh. Soon, she was selected to venture into Rognost Swamp to hunt a pack of Werewolves. She suspected that her father had requested that she be one of the hunters as a way to avenge his dead wife. They ventured in the Swamp During the daylight, to avoid giving the Werewolves the advantage. They found the den, and slaughtered all within it. The infants, the young women, and the men. During the battle, Viranna was bitten by a Werewolf while it was human. At first her group thought she would recover and heal, but they were mistaken. She is now emotionally affected and prone to outbursts of emotion and rage at night. On the way out of the swamp, they were attacked by Trolls. She was injured and separted from the rest of the band. She wandered in a stupor to Springdale, where a roaming elf found her and nurtured her back to health. It was fortunate for her that her blood had not yet turned black. Her rescuer sent for an Elven preist of Astra, and the preist broke her addiction to the power derived from the flesh of monsters through prayer and healing magic. Many weeks later, she travelled back to her old house in Springdale, only to learn that her father had killed himself the night of her defeat. She drunk herself into a stupor for several days of mourning. When her head cleared, she had even less regard for her herself and her bipolar mood swings were even more violent and frequent. She is now a follower of Astra, but is still filled with doubt.

She wandered her way to Bjornburg, where she got in a fight almost as soon as she sat down. A helpful Northerner, a man by the name of Aidan sheltered her and told her of the convoy. She decided to tag along too. Here she is, conflicted.

Please finish your sign-up sometime this week (counting the weekend) if you want a chance to get in the RP!

I won't be going over the sign-ups until they're all completed and I've picked who is accepted into the RP. Right now I'd just like for everyone to finish them sometime this week. :P

Now that I've finished one of two tests this week, I can start to get things prepared to start. :D

Just a heads-up: I haven't picked who is in and who isn't yet. I'll probably be doing that next week. Yeah, I'm not in a rush with this RP. :P I won't set any dates for when it's going to start or anything, either. Possibly sometime next week? Who knows?

Name: Robert "General" Killian
Gender: Male
Race:Human
Subrace: Northerner
Age: 75

Attributes
Strength: 14
Perception: 8
Endurance: 18
Agility: 12
Charisma: 5
Intelligence:12
Luck: 3

Height: 6'6"
Eye Color:Blue
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Appearance: Robert is a tall and imposing man whose pale skin stands in stark contrast to his short cut brown hair and neatly trimmed beard. Despite the fact that Robert had not worked as a soldier for over fifty years, he still holds himself to a strict ideal of organization and neatness that carries over to his personal grooming and clothing. He stands straight at all times, and his eyes look upon everyone with suspicion, making him stand out among his fellow travelers. Robert is a fairly lanky man with a skinny body that belies his powerful build. His eyes have deep bags handing under them as a testament to too many sleepless nights. Picture
Clothing/Armor: Robert wear's a thick brown overcoat with a stiff collar that is well prepared for the cold weather's of the north. He wears black pants that are thick enough to stop an arrow that is not directly on target. He also wears thick army boots with steal toes in case he gets into unarmed combat. He wears thin steel armor that is light enough to halt most weapons in their tracks while still allowing Robert to move around as much as he would like. He wears a thick steel helmet upon his head in battle, and has armored shin.
Weapons: From all his former time as a soldier, Robert has kept two weapons with him at all times. The first is a long spear. For defensive purposes, Robert also carries a heavy round shield that stands at almost half his height. These two weapons combine to make Robert an excellent wall for his other allies. His final weapon, and the one he enjoys using the most, is a black morning star with spikes sturdy enough to crack even the strongest shields.
Accessories: Robert carries the standard supplies that a traveling soldier would require. Dried meat that is able to outlast the longest winter. Thick rope for either tying enemies or climbing to steep heights. A map of all the areas that he has traveled. One object that he holds most dear is a small sketchbook and quill that he uses to draw the more fascinating landscapes he comes across. He also has an intricately detailed sketch of his daughter.

The most noticeable object on Robert's person is directly attached to his body. Robert cut his own leg off a long time ago, and as such now walks around with a crude peg leg that he has learned to walk with. Robert has walked with the peg so long that he has gotten used to it, and he has improved its design whenever possible. It now easily slips on and off his leg, although Robert is often forced to retrieve it after a rampage. He keeps a spare in his pack.
Personality: Robert often comes off as cold or aloof to those around him because of his silence. In truth, years in the military have taught Robert the rough lesson that its often best to keep one's opinions to himself. At the same time, Robert has found it hard to relate or understand others since he was forced to leave his family. Due to his own special circumstances, Robert has learned to control his emotions to prevent himself from going on a rampage. It still occasionally happens. Robert hates seeing abused women because they remind him of his wife or daughter, and he hates abuse of power by those the people trust. Robert has a surprisingly creative side, and enjoys sketching as a fairly impressive artist.
Bio: Robert's life has always been one where he was in a place or situation that he didn't belong in. He was born in the deepest northern regions under a different name, the sort of place where the snow is so thick that travel is almost impossible, and blizzards are more common than a sunny day. In this harsh region, monster hunters ruled the land. The dangerous northern regions provided convenient shelter for monsters who weren't seen in the best light by humans, and there were hundreds of deadly creatures whose meat and skins would sell for a high price.

Robert was not born a monster hunter. Instead, he has loved the painting since the day he found a spare strip of parchment and his mother's quill. His brother, Leo, was the one who enjoyed fighting monsters. A fiery and passionate man, Leo desired the life of action that monster hunting provides, while Robert wanted no part of it. However, a man of the northern regions does not feed his family with art. He feeds them with the hides of monsters. Although it was not Robert's choice, he followed his brother into a monster hunting clan.

As a monster hunter, Leo was only slightly above average. He let his emotions take control of him constantly, and was crippled by his small stature. Robert however was gifted with a calm and comforting demeanor as well as a series of growth spurts that quickly allowed him to stand above his fellow hunters. At the same time, Robert possessed the brain power and creativity that a leader requires, unlike his oaf of a brother. Robert was such a talented soldier that he began to be called the "General" by his fellow men, and this nickname has carried over into his current life. Naturally, his brother was incredibly jealous of his brother's successes, even though he was second in command to Robert.

Leo's chance for revenge came when a village was reported to be overrun by werebears, and Robert's clan was hired to strike the beasts down. Robert's team went in first while Leo's archers waited for the proper time to strike. Leo's archers were loyal to him however, and they struck too slowly to help Robert's men defeat the hordes of werebears they found in the village. One such creature bit into Robert's shoulder as his allies fell. Leo's archers killed the werebears, but found that Robert had escaped when he realized that Leo had betrayed him.

Robert fled deep into the Empire, settling on a small farming village where he found the love of his life in a young farming girl names Sherry. The two married, and when Sherry's parents passed on, Robert took over the farm. The couple had a daughter, Dorothy, who had Robert's dark brown hair and her mother's striking green eyes. Robert had the life he always wanted, tending the land with his powerful body, and painting to his heart's content. This lovely period of Robert's life ended when a group of bandits raided his village. Robert, who did not realize what the werebear's bite had done to him, attacked the bandits in beast form as he watched his village burn to the ground. He tore the bandits apart, and none survived against Robert's bear form. When he came to, his wife nursed him back to health, but Robert came to the conclusion that his family was no longer safe with him. Robert thought that he should leave, but his wife begged and pleaded to make him stay to help provide for their daughter. In his emotionally distraught state, Robert cut his leg off, hoping that without it he would be unable to do any harm when he shifted next. His wife never understood why he did that, but Robert thought it was the best way to make his bear form less of a threat.

In the winter, his wife had a heart attack brought about by age, and this was the second time Robert's emotions got the best of him and he nearly shifted into the bear. The frightened voice of his daughter was the only thing stopping him from turning into a monster. He took his family to the local doctor, and told his daughter that he was stepping outside to get some air. Robert never returned, and to this day he has no idea what has become of his daughter. He only wanted to make sure that his family was safe, and he couldn't protect them if he became a monster. Despite Robert's noble sacrifice of severing his own leg, Robert was dismayed to find that the leg recovered whenever he shifted, making his sacrifice useless.

Now Robert wanders the world like the monsters he used to hunt. His hibernation have allowed him to most likely outlive his family, but he keeps sketches of his daughter so that he never forgets her face. Robert has found though that after a long life of hiding from those who would kill him for his curse, he is ready to go on one last adventure to end it all. Thus he joined up with this group of southbound travelers to find adventure and new scenery before he hibernates for the last time.

You can't get a bada$$ pic like that and not sign up can you?

If I don't get in the RP, would I be able to fix any problems in my sign-up and then come in at a later date, or is this a one-chance-only kinda thing?
