In Topic: The Random Video Game Stuff Thread

Today I ran some numbers, just for my own amusement...

> In the last 10 years (2010-2020), there have been THREE new video games and ONE expansion pack based on Dungeons & Dragons.
> In the preceding 10 years (2000-2010), there were FOURTEEN new D&D video games AND FOURTEEN expansion packs.
I also ran the numbers for Star Wars. Not counting mobile/browser/educational games...
> in the 10 years since the fall of LucasArts (2010-2020), there have been about FOUR new Star Wars games released.
> In the preceding 10 years (2000-2010), under LucasArts, there were around TWENTY-SIX new games. And another 26 or so in the 10 years before that (1990-2000)!
That means that, in BOTH cases (D&D and SW), there were around SEVEN TIMES more games released between 2000-2010 as there were between 2010-2020. The numbers basically match: 4 vs. 26 or so.
I'm not even sure what particular point I'm trying to make with this, but it's interesting food for thought. Draw your own conclusions.

Thanks! I thought she turned out pretty cool too. :D
Here's something I didn't post here:

Six Fanarts by Justin Stebbins, on Flickr

I drew it for a Twitter hashtag thingy called "Six Fanarts". The characters were suggested by Twitter users. I just picked the six suggestions I liked the best.

Tried to vary up my style with each one, to mixed results. I like the way Revan turned out the best, and he's closest to simply my usual comic book style.

TBH those centaurs don't even look as good as the BrickForge ones, to me. :\ But in this long drought of LEGO castle/fantasy stuff, I guess I'll take what I can get.

I hope they go back and make all the Patronus creatures as actual animals in other sets, with solid colors and stuff, instead of just using the molds for ghosts, lol.

Still, it's nice to see another 'fig of the best HP character, Luna Lovegood.

Great to hear from you, Dagoth! Thanks for dropping by to share your art - I always enjoy seeing it. I especially like your moody landscapes and strange characters. Love the Adobe designs too. Though, it seems one of the images didn't load properly for some reason - the unused one where you mentioned Worms...
