II 'Hellfire' and Sturmschlachtross Typ-A "Schildkrote" superheavy tanks. It mounts the same 3in naval gun as the T1 Mundelein HT but also sports two T1A1 1in L/36 tank guns from the new T1A1 Bristol's. Three MG's are scattered across the sides and rear to eliminate flanking enemy infantry. Like the T1A1 Bristol and it's artillery variant, the T1 Valor has a wireless radio to coordinate amongst other units. It shares common parts with the T1 Bristol light tank series and T1 Mundelein heavy tank to ease logistics, maintenance, and costs.

The third tank of an arms race with fellow artists.

WA-1K War Android
"It's eerie. They rarely speak, just stare. They just stare with that triangular eye. It's unnerving, the lack of blinking. Without faces, you can't tell what they plan to do. They just act." - Unknown Trinity Trooper

Spoiler

The Trinity Military has discovered immortality. A soldier has a Neural Interface Device or NID installed into their brain that records their memories and constantly uploads it to a server dedicated to that soldier. The memories and conscience of the Trooper is stored there and updated by the NID. Drop pods have a NID within and whenever a Trooper dies their body is regrown by stem cells stored within the drop pod and grown around the NID. The Trooper wakes up just before the pod hits the ground. Though this is truly a miraculous technology it does come with a dark side. The newly regrown brain and conscience can at times not even fathom the fact that it is alive once again when it very vividly remembers dying. This can lead to Post Traumatic Death Disorder or PTDD. PTDD leads to the Trooper going brain dead as the brain refuses to function even with a perfectly healthy new body. The worse the death or the higher the amount of deaths for a single conscience increases the chance of PTDD. Troopers that regenerate call the period between death and rebirth, 'The dance with Death'. It is just the Trooper and Death itself dancing. As the Trooper's numbers of deaths increases, Death becomes more beautiful, more alluring, more tempting to stay with them. It becomes harder and harder to overcome Death as time goes on. Eventually, all give into Death's warm embrace free of pain, violence, trauma, memories, survivor's guilt, etc.

~<|*|>~

So, this is a very experimental piece for me. I've never drawn people ballroom dancing or dancing even for that matter. I've never drawn a ballroom dress nor lace.

Please let me know what you think.

Cheers.

Engine Strength: 265HP
Description: The T1 Arlington light tank is the first Triumviratian tank of all welded construction, a co-axial MG, a hull mounted MG, an anti-aircraft MG, and with a vertical volute suspension system. The T1 Arlington's turret is a larger and wider T1A1 Bristol light tank turret that now has two crew members in it. The powerful 265HP engine allows the light tank to zip around at a miraculous 38MPH. The T1 Arlington light tank is supposed to replace the aging T1 Bristol light tank series.

The fourth tank of an arms race with fellow artists.

Spoiler

Name: T1A1 Mundelein Heavy Tank
Armament: T1 3in/76.2mm L/12 Tank Gun, T1 0.3in MG x3
Armor: 3in/76.2mm to 1in/25.4mm
Hull: 3in/2in/2in
Turret: 1in/1in/1in
Weight: 32 tons
Crew Size: 5
Top Speed: 17MPH
Engine Strength: 2x 265HP
Description: The T1A1 Mundelein heavy tank is the product of modernization of veteran vehicles of the Old Conflict. Following the trail blazed by the T1 Arlington light tank, the T1A1 Mundelein HT has replaced its aging riveted construction for welded plate. The suspension is now of the vertical volute type and the cupola is now a MG turret. A wireless radio has been installed to be able to coordinate with other vehicles. Part of the front hull has a greater slope and mounts dual T1 0.3in MG's manned by a co-driver. The old twin 200HP engines have been replaced by two of the new 265HP tank engine in the T1 Arlington light tank.

The third variant of an arms race with fellow artists.

Spoiler

Name: T1 Arlington Medium Tank
Armament: T1 2in/50.8mm L/18 Tank Gun, T1 0.3in MG x7
Armor: 2in/50.8mm to 1in/25.4mm
Hull: 2in/1.5in/1in
Turret: 2in/2in/1.5in
Weight: 21 tons
Crew Size: 8
Top Speed: 28MPH
Engine Strength: 350HP
Description: The T1 Arlington medium tank is the first Triumviratian medium tank. It copies a lot from the T1 Arlington light tank such as the multiple hull mounted MG's, a co-axial MG, and a vertical volute supsension system. The T1 Arlington medium tank turret is a larger and wider T1 Arlington light tank turret to house the T1 2in L/18 Tank Gun. The turret's armor has been thickened and lowered to cover the turret ring. The turret bulge is also larger to house a larger, more powerful wireless radio and the cupola is now a small MG armed turret. The powerful 350HP engine allows the T1 Arlington medium tank to speed around at 28MPH. The T1 Arlington medium tank is the primary infantry support vehicle as T1 Arlington LT's provide reconnaissance and protection from flanking enemies. The new medium tanks also support the recently modernized T1A1 Mundelein heavy tanks due to the limited firing arc of their casement mounted main gun.

The fifth tank of an arms race with fellow artists.

Spoiler

Name: T1A2 Mundelein Heavy Tank
Armament: T1A1 3in/76.2mm L/40 Tank Gun, T1 0.3in MG x4
Armor: 3.5in/88.9mm to 1in/25.4mm
Hull: 3.5in/2.5in/2in
Turret: 1.5in/1in/1in
Weight: 33 tons
Crew Size: 4
Top Speed: 17MPH
Engine Strength: 2x 265HP
Description: The T1A2 Mundelein heavy tank is a new variant of the Old Conflict veteran. The hull has been shortened in height, but lengthened. The heavy tank is designed to escort infantry and to blow apart fortifications via direct fire with it's 10 foot long barrel 3in Tank Gun T1A1. There are two co-axial T1 0.3in MG's and the turret has improved frontal armor alongside being widened to house a second MG. Armor was thickened by a half inch on the front and is at a much steeper slope to improve protection. The T1A2 Mundelein is in direct competition with the Ostakaran Maxim-Hector Char 45t and Cordian Stridsvagn Serie D/I Genombrott Akdon.

The fourth variant of an arms race with fellow artists.

Spoiler

Name: T2 Bristol Light Tank
Armament: T2 1in/25.4mm L/36 Automatic Tank Gun, T1 0.3in MG x3
Armor: 1.5in/37.1mm to 0.75in/19.1mm
Hull: 1.5in/1in/0.75in
Turret: 1.5in/1.5in/1.25in
Weight: 12.5 tons
Crew Size: 4
Top Speed: 35MPH
Engine Strength: 265HP
Description: The T2 Bristol light tank is the second Bristol designed light tank to replace the T1 Bristol light tank series. The T2 Bristol light tank is a slightly slower and harder nut to crack compared to the T1 Arlington light tank. The newest addition is a MG turret upon the turret roof that replaced the cupola and the new T2 1in L/36 Automatic Tank Gun as the primary armament. The T2 1in L/36 uses a magazine system to feed the gun and allows automatic fire when the trigger is held down, but semiautomatic fire is still available. It is not to replace the T1 Arlington LT, but to allow two modern LT's to be produced simultaneously.

The sixth tank of an arms race with fellow artists.

Been over a month, I reckon it's time for an art update.

Spoiler

Name: T2 Arlington Airborne Light Tank
Armament: T2A1 1in/25.4mm L/72 Automatic Tank Gun, T1 0.3in MG, T1 0.5in HMG
Armor: 2in/50.8mm to 1in/25.4mm
Hull: 2in/1in/1in
Turret: 2in/2in/2in
Weight: 10 tons
Crew Size: 3
Top Speed: 40MPH
Engine Strength: 170HP
Description: The T2 Arlington Airborne Light Tank is the Order of the Triumvirate's first foray into a light tank that can be transported by gliders. With the New Conflict shifting towards a desert climate, reliability and light vehicles were needed to traverse the sea of sand. The T2 Arlington Airborne Light Tank carries the new T2A1 1in Automatic Tank Gun which was doubled in barrel length, now measuring in at 6 ft long in order to improve muzzle velocity and armor penetration. A co-axial T1 0.3in MG allows short work of infantry and the standard T1 0.5in HMG is mounted in a pintle in order to save weight instead of the standard mini-turret. The airborne light tank has a large turret bulge to house a powerful radio unit to communicate with other units as it recons ahead. The vehicle has several bogies in order to reduce ground pressure so it doesn't sink in soft terrain such as sand or mud. The T2 Arlington Airborne Light Tank is much shorter in height and length compared to other Triumviratian tanks. The smaller, more powerful engine allows the 10 ton vehicle to speed around at 40MPH.

Hull: 3in/2.75in/2in
Turret: 3in/2.75in/2in
Weight: 20 tons
Crew Size: 5 (Driver, Co-Driver, Gunner, Loader, Commander)
Top Speed: 32MPH
Engine Strength: 370HP
Description: The T2 Arlington Medium Tank was designed to fight in the desert compared to the T1 Bristol Medium Tank. Both weigh in at 20 tons with the same armor, but the T2 Arlington MT is faster than its cousin. The trailing idler was an effort to decrease ground pressure for the vehicle so it could better travel on soft terrain such as sand. The main difference between this medium tank and the other Triumviratian one is the new T2A1 2in L/48 Automatic Tank Gun, the barrel measures in at eight feet to increase muzzle velocity, accuracy, and raw power due to the long ranges at which dueling would take place. It was designed to primarily counter R.A.N.'s new T-37 medium tank.

Modern tactical markings were added to the vehicle and sent to the Sea of Sand hence the desert three tone camouflage. It mounts the same gun as the T1 Arlington Light Tank, but nowhere near as armored nor fast. The T1A2 Bristol LT comes with a more powerful engine that increased its top speed even with the thicker armor.

Spoiler

Name: T1A1 3in Light Self-Propelled Howitzer
Armament: T1 3in/76.2mm Howitzer
Armor: 1.25in/31.8mm to 0.5in/12.7mm

Like a bad habit.

Spoiler

Longbow. Yes I know longbows don't have pulleys, but I decided to mix a longbow with a compound bow.

Spoiler

Ouvolk the Sungazer has risen once more from the dark below. We had cleaved off his left arm then plunged a blade deep into his heart. We watched blood cascade like a waterfall from his severed limb, heard his roar of pain, his eyes grew dim, and his body retreated back into the watery abyss from once he came.

Yet the impossible has happened this night. A great disturbance in the water as a set of three horns and tall translucent spines of crystal cut through the ocean. The spines pulsated bright orange, illuminating the night for miles around. The sirens wailed like a banshee in the night as panic overcame the coast. There was no time for submarines to be dispatched, and he was invulnerable in the water. All we could do was muster our forces as we evacuated the city waiting for another cataclysm with this living siege engine. The ground shook as its feet made landfall, its mighty head rose from the water, his orange halo of an eye burned like a star, yet you could feel the hate within. The featherlike wings upon his head glowed bright orange like his eyes and spines. He lumbered slowly out of the water as he rose to his impressive height, plating adorned his back around those blade like spines. A cybernetic arm had replaced his severed one, wires snaked from his spine to the metallic shoulder. It too glowed with the fury of a star, from shoulder to clawtips..

Once Ouvolk rose to his awesome height, he glared at the small force that had assembled before him. The featherlike spines on his head flared outwards and shook, as he opened his maw. A deafening roar ripped from deep within his body, those miles away could hear it. It was like a sudden thunderclap, powerful and awe inspiring. The pulsating orange glow had increased in speed, but abruptly stopped as soon as he closed his mouth. All was silent as the sudden lack of bright light left the defense forces unable to see in the darkness except for his glowing twin halos.

Then his spines began to glow once more, but the intensity of the light was like a star at noonday. We accepted our fate, our life was already forfeit. Thus we rained hell upon the Sungazer, missiles screamed as they streaked through the sky and rounds buzzed as cannons roared. His head reared back as his mouth was aflame, it opened and the fury of a star was unleashed. Ouvolk enfiladed everything in his path, his solar breath swept across the beach and claimed all within its grasp. The tanks and other armored vehicles were reduced to puddles of molten metal upon the glassed beach. Molten glass dripped from the buildings onto the bubbling asphalt as the structural beams were all that remained, charred black like a fourth degree burn. The Sungazer merely pressed on through the city as he blazed a path of destruction. Firestorms sprang up around the city and spread as fire tornadoes tore through the city. Black rain began to fall from the sky like a nuclear winter as lightning began to strike from the pyrocumulonimbus clouds. The air was superheated, causing anything that was flammable to spontaously combust before the actual flames reached them.

Thus Ouvolk the Sungazer left nothing but ash and cinder in his wake as nature continued to wreck havoc upon the city.

-~<|*|>~-

This is a work in progress piece, I'm yet to add more.

As for Ouvolk, he is a kaiju meant to rival one like Godzilla. Godzilla is supposed to be a representation of the death and destruction caused by the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. While these two bombings destroyed square miles of city and left thousands dead and moreso homeless, that wasn't the worst that happened to the Japanese during the Second World War.

Ouvolk is supposed to represent the firebombings of Japan, specifically the firebombing of Tokyo. The Bombing of Tokyo or Operation Meetinghouse is considered the single most destructive bombing raid in human history. 16 square miles of Tokyo was destroyed with an estimated 100,000 dead and leaving over 1 million people homeless. The Bombing of Tokyo killed more people than the nuclear bombing of Nagasaki, but not Hiroshima, yet more of Tokyo was destroyed than both combined. The 100,000 dead could be lower than the actual amount considering that Tokyo had the highest population density of a city at the time with 103,000 to 135,000 people per square mile. As little as 40,000 people were wounded to as much as a million during the firebombing. The mushroom clouds produced by the atomic bombs were smaller than the firestorm clouds that followed the nuclear detonations as well.

Ouvolk harnessing the power of a star is no accident. I designed him this way to show the duality of a star. A star gives life, warmth, and light to a solar system. While it gives all life to a solar system, it can also end all life of a solar system. A supernova would end a solar system and leave it lightless, lifeless, and cold.

The United States Army Air Corps had switched from high altitude to low altitude bombing, with some flying as low as 5,000 ft to as high as 7,000 ft. The bombers that returned were streaked with ash and the low flying bombers had to use oxygen masks due to the smell of burnt flesh reaching them as well as the heat of the conflagration could be felt by the airmen as they began to sweat.

Thus I created Ouvolk the Sungazer, a terror worse than nuclear bombs.
