#487595 D3 2018: The DMC5 Display Demonstration

Posted by broons on 11 June 2018 - 09:49 PM

Honestly guys I don't think I can express how broken I feel righy now.

Where is my Splinter Cell?

I just want Sam Fisher back.

But I guess with how awful the stealth and gunplay was in the new Ghost Recon it's probably for the best.

Shooters just aren't as good these days man. Where's my classic Ghost Recon 2 feel? Why are enemies bullet sponges? Why do they have "classes" and stuff?

I'm just so disappointed

Fellas, I'm completely sold on this Solo film we got here.

The guy really gives me young Han vibes.  I know some people here are going to make a big to do about how it ain't a Han lookin' character but with all due respect go scruff yourself this is Han Solo

Yeah, but instead of "also memes" I also gave some sort of opinion on it.

This take on the Solo trailer might be the best thing Star Wars has given us this century.

#486671 What Are You Currently Playing?

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a very good game guys. It's not without its issues and sometimes it's a little clunky but it's so fun. It's everything I wanted out of a medieval open world RPG.

I've also been playing a lot of Squad lately, and it feels good to be back. I really enjoy playing medic.

Escape From Tarkov is also a decent game but I don't have the time to commit to it as well as the other two.

Okay but 30 years after the Jedi were wiped out they were just myths so why would Luke being a myth to a girl living on the outer rim be any different? Han wasn't as big a myth and clearly Leia was known to the Republic/Resistance so idk why that's such a stretch?

I kinda feel like these people complaining about Luke's role and what happened would have complained about Obi Wan dying in ANH if the prequels had been the first movies released.

Luke has a very similar role in that aspect - he's there to bridge the gap between the previous trilogy of characters and the current. The passing of the torch if you will. Sure, Luke passes the torch to a character who isn't a Skywalker, but you know what? The Skywalkers had six movies. They aren't the only family in the galaxy oh AND there's still a Skywalker/Solo as a main character he just happens to not be a jerk.

I dunno guys I just feel like the reaction to this movie as "ruining Star Wars" is pretty dumb.

Y'all are pretty whiny about a bunch if fictional characters.

My biggest complaint about the movie was it was really long but not enough happened.

Also Luke was portrayed perfectly. How can anyone think not? I just don't get it. Where are these misconceptions about Luke coming from? Ruined your favorite character? Give me a break, they wrote Luke better than any other character.

If we're really beating up an annoying character let's talk about how Rose's arc gave extremely little to the plot. Hopefully she comes back as a better, more fleshed out character in 9.

I just need to know if Luke still has his green lightsaber or are all my hopes and dreams going to be crushed?

I also just saw JL.

It wasn't as bad as people make it out to be.  It was rushed, and it was a lot of CGI and the villain wasn't really well fleshed out.  If the movie could've been the full 3 hours it was intended to be it'd of been a lot better.

But it wasn't the most awful thing ever.  And Batfleck continues to impress the hell outta me.

Yeah but Pacific Rim was a great movie.

I'm so disappointed in Ocelot's taste lately.

Oh, yeah. I was wondering:

He heard it from Mance and I assume would figure it's what one ruler should say to another.  Dunno for sure, but yeah.

For someone so obsessed over complaining about the little details, you sure miss a lot of em.

The cold open was the best part of the episode.

The Winterfell Hall scene was pretty good. As was the Kings Landing throne room scene.

Other than that it felt like a lot more build up.

As someone who both knows and cares very little for much of mythology, I enjoy movies dumbing it down for me.
