Hi, all!
Minecraft has got me building like crazy!

Since we can make giant mushrooms, I've been inspired by smaller things and now I've been making them into larger things.
My mom has a little lantern that's attached by a steel pole that's stuck in the ground. I had to go into paint to get the pixels for the crescent. After that, my imagination went crazy! Enjoy!

That, is a pretty cool house design. I never would have thought of making a house hand from a stem, I think I might steal your idea for my single player.

Thanks. I was thinking of making an entire town like that on one of the flatter biomes.

An entire town?! Good luck with ye, fellow builder.

Here's another building that I haven't quite finalized, but it's still pretty close to being finished. I'm just talking about the few cobblestone you might see when it's supposed to be stone, but you get the picture.

Those are both pretty awesome. :D You have a lot more patience than I do for building things. I never make huge structures.

Thanks, Joc. I love to build. I started with Lego when I was young, and now I have an even better and bigger sandbox to play with.

Great buildings! I think the turning-smaller-objects-into-houses idea is a good one!

Also, I like the way you use the vines in the second building to separate the different rooms.

Go for that entire town design. I love the hanging design. It's very similar to floating gardens or floating islands. The style is unique and creative, and it'd be really sweet to see an entire village like that.

I did on a server. It took creative to make it though. Very hard to build without the flying. I was able to add more floors to the hanging lantern design and add some bay windows (I love bay windows). Pictures are coming soon!
BTW: Phantom helped me speed up the process on the server.

Any good ideas for a whole fairy woods? I was thinking of making giant trees and then building little houses (or large houses on Minecraft) on and in them.

Nice creations ;)

You should check out Angryponcho on Youtube. He and I are sort of-ish IRL friends (Never face to face, but we've worked at the same camp (even in the same position) and we have many mutual friends.) Anyway, he does some pretty awesome Minecraft creations, and he even writes his own HD texture packs (available for download) if you watch his videos let him that Wiffleballofdoom sent you :P

Here are the pictures from the town on the server. On the floating hill just below the clouds are the hanging lantern homes and below is Shroomville.
Enjoy! I'll post up pictures of my fun house in the next post.

BTW: I changed from Default texture pack to the new Dukocraft High.

What you could do with the mountain is make an underground mushroom land or something of the like. Carving out a mountain takes time and is tricky depending on the shape the mountain is. Good work! You should post pictures up about what you do with it afterwards.
I have a few suggestions if you're going for a magical hidden place if you want to go in that direction.

That Castle is pretty darn cool!

And I'm guessing that Texture Pack is DokuCraft High or something similar?

It is Dokucraft high. You should have seen Sly's face when I showed him the finished work of art. It was priceless. ;)
