I love you more than I love myself most times, Occey. But your spoiler'd opinions of the worst thing in Solo are the polar opposite of how I felt about that scene. It was literally everything I've ever wanted in my life. I could die happy now, lol.

So, is it okay to come out from the bunker yet? Has the fallout from The Last Jedi dissipated? Did we draft teams?

For the record, I thought TLJ was fantastic. I rank it at #2 following ESB. Solo was pretty cool, too.

Solo was ok.  I think worth going to the cinema but I'm not particularly fussed to see it again. The character was well acted but I don't think Solo himself was quite scoundrel enough and if anyone is a 'Mary Sue' in Star Wars then it's this version of Solo. I also don't really like his involvement with the *REDACTED* at the end of the film. The big spoiler near the end was I think a mistake. That character had a decent enough story line and ending outside the movies. I see no purpose in his existence in this film - it's confusing for every fan who doesn't keep up with the media outside the films. Probably the highlight for me was recognising parts of my home town in some of the Corellia scenes.

TBH I'm sort of apathetic about how Star Wars will proceed as I know this will go the way of Marvel and have too many films. I know that at some point I will say 'that's enough Star Wars'. I think Episode VIIII may be the last one I see in theatre. My advice is just to enjoy the ride until you want to get off.

If I was to rank Star Wars films:

R1

ESB

ANH

TLJ

ROTJ

TFA

ROTS

SOLO

TPM

AOTC

I'm sorry, but the fallout from TLJ is never going to dissipate. That movie struck a chord the likes of which I've never seen; usually the internet forgets about things after a week or two, but we're six months past TLJ's release now you still can't even mention Star Wars anywhere without people trying to pitch their best TLJ hot take. Kelly Marie Tran just got chased off social media by the internet hate mob last week, and every comment on every article about it is either "GOOD, GRR SJWS!" or "That's terrible. But I hated her character in TLJ tho".

I think we're doomed to this world until someone makes an even more controversial numbered Star Wars episode.

Kelly Marie Tran was great in that movie, and she's such a lovely person in real life.

The whole thing makes me rage.

Except cancelling Firefly. Because that's just not cool.

Report that Disney may be holding off on making Star Wars standalones for the time being.

Skimmed through the article and I'm more disappointed by this than anything else.

If Disney decided to stop working on two Star Wars movies that people actually wanted to see, because don't try to tell be you wouldn't want a solo Boba Fett or Obi-wan, just because of Solo's reception, then it doesn't give me high hopes for that movie.

Don't worry guys, because there's already a group out there planning to remake The Last Jedi.

Our team of producers is offering to cover the budget for a remake of The Last Jedi in order to save Star Wars.  Share this and spread the word to let @RobertIger & @Disney know you want this!  This isn't a joke, we're ready to have the convo now! #RemakeTheLastJedi #StarWars

This train never stops, boyzzzz.

If a crowdfunding campaign actually makes $200 million in order to remake the second best Star Was movie then I have nothing left to say.

Maybe give the money to charity and go and read EU books?

Or buy Kelly Marie Tran a yacht to apologise for being just awful to her?

The Last Jedi that these guys want would be an unwatchable two hours of lore dumping and Luke Skywalker Mary-sue fanfic. Not even if you paid me.
