I know, right? Where did that come from? That'd be an incredible get for Microsoft, but I guess I don't understand how any of this works because I don't see how it'd be good news for EA. I'd think EA's value and profitability would only go down if all their games suddenly had to be Microsoft-exclusive rather than being multiplatform, right? Surely their shareholders wouldn't be happy about that. Unless Microsoft buys them and still allows them to make multiplatform games, I suppose, but then that can't be right.
EDIT - So if it wasn't yet obvious that the Switch is a smash hit for Nintendo, today we have confirmation that, in less than a year, the Switch has outsold the Wii U's entire lifetime sales. Super Mario Odyssey has also sold over 9 million copies in a little over two months since launch.
