I get that that's not so much a reply as another statement, but...
Yeahhh... I kind of thought that might be easily misinterpreted. XD
Is it just me? Or does it bother anyone else that when the gun shoots there's no sound effects?
With the stuff that has sound effects, there are no visual effects (motion blur, etc.) so they're there to punctuate what's going on. Whereas with the guns you have the muzzle flashes and the blood splatters. That was the plan, anyway.
Wow, Vel sure changed his outlook quickly from "We gotta help!" to "Just shoot him!" But I guess getting nailed with a flying door'll do that to a guy.
And now the real fight begins! Although poor Shade.
Yeah, I guess getting crushed half-to-death can change a man's perspective on a situation. Which is pretty much just a re-wording of what you said but hey.
Ah, I figured you were going to start killing people soon. And in typical Forty-K fashion, you do it in an excessively blunt and anticlimactic fashion. Alas, poor Shade. I knew him, Horatio.
I will admit that the way the gunshot effect is done makes it look more like a flamethrower than a gun. Something about the fact that the muzzle flash extends to Keyes' body instead of having him bleed, probably.
You still haven't forgiven me for the 'is-snuck-up-on-and-beheaded' incident, have you?
Yeah... It's probably because they're flame effects that I shamelessly stole from the guy who used to make Dark Star. >.>
"That's ridiculous. What is it really?" It's good to have a little sense of humor about your own plots.
And I guess there goes my chance of me ever using that helicopter in Versetrotters, now that you've viciously stolen it from me.
(Also, I know that this post doesn't have much in the way of actual criticism, but in tribute to you I've decided to finish writing out all my criticism for every part of yours I read but only post it in increments based on the amount of attention it receives. )
Haha, yeah. It is rather absurd when I thought of it from the character's perspective. I hate how people in films are always so accepting of whats going on.
You can still use it, I won't tell, promise.
Ooooh, I see what you did there...
Wow, Tasker really likes flying. Also more characters! You need to update that character sheet thing.
And awesome, they're goin' on a raid! I'm gonna guess at least two people get turned into zombies.
And like Blue said, that's very funny that you actually make fun of your own plot.
Also, this is a superficial detail, but when you put Tom's gun back on the vehicle in those last few panels, you put it on upside down while it was right side up before. I dunno why I noticed that, or why it matters, but I'm just saying it anyways.
Already updated it, before they were even in the comic. XD I might need to add in a few deaths though...
They're infiltrating, they're not setting out to kill anybody but to enter under false pretenses, like Chad did to Jacob's base.
And yeah, I noticed that I put it on the wrong way up after I filmed it. >.< I couldn't remember which way I put it on to begin with and I couldn't be arsed to look through all the pictures I'd already taken.
Believe it or not, K's actually ahead on his character sheet. He updated it a little over a year ago with the some of the characters that were "about to be introduced," and his hiatus means that we're just seeing those characters now...
A couple are actually still not introduced, if you look at it...
Was that over a year ago? Maaaaaaan.
Wow, where did you get the ideas for these great vehicles???
Oh, you know... Argos.
I lol'd at Blue's last post.
Nice part, I like the complexity of the plan, and the introduction of new characters. Tom Mitchel is win.
I added the complexity of the plan, with the two halves and stuff, when I was editing it. It wasn't actually in the initial script. Haha.
New part is fully edited... Just, you know... New page. I'm going on holiday for a week tomorrow so you'd better hurry up. >.>
EDIT: Oh, sod it. Here's the first bit of Chapter 7 Part 2.
Might post the rest later. I'd rather get this one posted before I leave. Haha.
Hey, guys. Here's Chapter 7 - Part 1, weighing in at 20 pages. Next up, Part 2 which totals 55 pages. Something tells me I might be spacing that one out a bit. It's gonna have you on the edges of your seats.
:0 Was that Tom Mitchell? Someone call Wolfy.
EDIT: P.S. New page = next part, sooooo, ya'll best be commenting now. >.>
EXTREME WARNING. CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS. OPEN AT YOUR OWN RISK. Seriously. If anybody who hasn't seen this film opens these spoilers it's totally not my fault. >.>
She -was- Talia! I thought the whole Bane being the son of Ra's was a little far-fetched up until they thankfully revealed he wasn't. But hell yes! Blake WAS Robin. I wondered why they never said his first name and how his name happened to rhyme with 'Tim Drake'. What's next, is his middle name Richard? Or 'Dick' for short? Scarecrow was back. They totally did the Bane breaking Batman's back thing! And I totally called the auto-pilot before he even took off. >.>
Actually, it's eight years on, right? So Barbara Gordon would actually be in her teens now? They have to make another film. ):
And you'd be playing as Desmond, which is long overdue. I've been waiting ages for the game that focuses completely on Desmond and actually wraps up his storyline and shows him using all the crazy abilities he got from his ancestors.
Nooooo. You've been waiting ages for a (another) game that focuses on Nolan North.
I don't mean to come off rude, but you should probably attempt to build some scenery, like hills or flowers or something. Just throwing Minifigs on a baseplate isn't going to get you very far in the contest.
^ This. But on the otherhand, they are very good minifigs and fit the film well.
It's really not too hard to build up some scenery. Pretty much any will look better than none. Just slap some green bricks on and some tile pieces and stuff. Maybe even have a bit of mud in one place or something. It'll look way better if you do.
P.S. Can we get a shot of the William Wallace fig from the front?
Hawk digging redheads will always make me lol. Actually, anything involving Hawk will.
Then you're gonna love this next part.
Sheesh, Hawk has issues with ALL the pets. And also apparently no one's left eye is safe around you, Mr. President of the Evil Comic Maker's Club.
Left eyes? Why just left eyes? I take RIGHT EYES AS WELL!
Hawk is always such a good character, but here in particular he's totally shining. Even though he's an idiot, and is kind of a jerk to people for no reason, you really get a sense that he's just lonely and wants people people to talk to. So even if it's Ryan, or Jayk, or Storm, who all treat him like crap, he'll just go along with what they say because he has a misplaced sense of loyalty and admiration in them. It makes me sympathize with the guy.
Anyway, another good part, but still no fireworks... Knowing you, they gotta come sooner or later, though...
Haha, well yeah. Obviously I can't take credit for Hawk. But that description kind of describes the -actual- Hawk.
I promised fireworks, and fireworks there shall be. Soon. Maybe next part. After THIS ONE!
