Does anyone have any tips on decal application on LEGO minifigs?

Ya know, I add tape over my Decals before cuuting them out. Then cut 'em out and apply. It keeps them shiny and new for a long time. Also, look at the photos that inspired you to get those decals. That should help in getting them on correctly.

What torso color best matches the ACU decals you make?

Light grey works best, IMO.

I would check out the pictures you have of them, but the link to that website, Rycast, says the website is down.

Ah, thanks for pointing that out. I will add that to my list of things to fix. In the meantime, you can view most of the old photos in my brother's old Brickshelf gallery: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=322651

So I just received a CapeMadness order from Bricklink, but cannot figure out how to apply the dress coat to my figure. Help?

Side holes are for the arms. Once you get the coat on, the rest of the holes go over the neck region.

That I know. The part I'm confused about is the neck part of the coat. It can't fit on with the way the dress coat's collar protrudes around the head.

That's interesting. Any chance you can post a pic?

Nevermind, methinks I have found the way. The way it works is it's a big trench-coat. Then there's also a piece that goes over the neck which is similar to the pauldrons in the Arc Trooper Lego Star Wars pack. These cannot be instantly applied, however, as they are blocked off by the trench-coat coming up and around the neck and head of the minifigure. One must first fold down the collar, then one can apply the pauldrons. Then it looks great!
