The human-ruled Sathren Empire to the east hosts many eclectic non-human races, though the most recognizable to the citizens of the Rim are the winged Aithwenn. Their striking, otherworldly appearance and the skill in battle of their warriors make them popular as mercenaries and bodyguards, with the Emperor himself maintaining a cadre as his personal guard.
Giant Bomb called it a "direct to video Mass Effect sequel", where the big name actors didn't want to come back so they replaced them with cheaper ones; a new Krogan, a new Turian, two new bland human characters, a new Normandy, Pathfinder instead of Inquisitor/Spectre/Grey Warden/etc.
I'd been trying to figure out how to articulate the vibe I'd been getting watching videos of the game, and that nails it.
I think by the end, he hated the fanbase more than the franchise itself. At least the franchise paid.
To be fair, it was less that he hated the films and more that he was irritated that they eclipsed all the other, more "respectable" stuff that he had done before. Which I don't really blame him for, I mean, does anyone outside die-hard film aficionados remember a single other film that he did?
