The best line out there, IMO, is being discontinued. I loved the design and greebs LEGO put into the sets, but I never bought any. And for my birthday gift, my girlfriend took me to the LEGO store and gave me a budget of $50. Well, to my surprise, the manager told me they didn't have anymore and that they are being phased out after I yelled and moaned to them. So I had to settle for an Atlantis set, which is still good.

It's not fair, when I get the chance to go and get my new favorite line, it's already going bye-bye! :'(

I know how you feel man. this is exactly how I felt about the Adventures series and Rock Raiders.

That is upsetting. But at least in the time it existed the Space Police line supplied the LEGO community with a bunch of non-Star Wars space minifigs and the like, which was great. I know, though, I didn't buy any either. I wanted to buy the Undercover Cruiser, but alas that never happened.

Dawwwwwwwww, crap. I just bought it primarily for the cockpit parts, but the sets were well designed and fairly priced. Out of sheer curiosity, wasn't there a game being planned? I remember seeing on the side of the box some sort of ad, with the E rating displayed prominently.

That is very interesting to say the least. I couldn't find any articles on it though. Perhaps LEGO was planning on it but later discarded any information regarding it. Strange...

Meh, personally I never really liked the line all that much (aside from the Space Pimpmobile), not necessarily because it was bad per se, but it constantly reminded me of the much better Space Police lines from the early 90s. That kinda ruined it for me.

I am surprised they're discontinuing it before the second wave has even been out for a year, though.

You don't know why? It must have been the invisible aura of retro space it evoked. I mean space limousines and neon colored humanoid aliens? Come on. I know I'm not particularly fond of that style, but for what it provided for in pieces made me like the line.

You can still buy the sets online for the time being, but all LEGO stores are phasing them out. They are still available so go get them before they are $150 on Bricklink.

I know, I just looked today and the one I wanted the most is even on sale. I'm waiting for the series 3 minifigs to come out first though before I place any orders. Can you believe it though? They are listed at 2.99 instead of 1.99 like the previous figs. I guess they sold out too fast. Smart move on their part, I think. I'm still gonna buy as many figs as I can.

I saw this on BZP the other day. Seems interesting...I think this is the replacement to Space Police. The helmets look the same so that is good since I loved those helmets. I hope to see them soon!

I know its awesome. And on the package it says batteries included. Does that mean it makes sound? Heck I hope! I also like the tri-pod...and Im guessing they may come out around Summertime. Not sure really...but I hope soon.

I honestly hate that LEGO® ever discontinues any of its toy-lines. They've released some frikkin'-awesome ones, and they usually have very short shelf-time, as well as online catalog time. I contacted the LEGO® company once about this very topic, asking them why they stop manufacturing certain LEGO® sets, and they replied, but not with anything all that helpful. While I honestly don't mind seeing the 'Space Police' line go, as it is far from a favorite of mine, I still can feel your pain. Most of my favorite LEGO® toy-lines... ever... where discontinued, and are (Obviously) no longer available. Makes me gawsh-thankful for Bricklink, that's for darn sure!

Heres a happy bit of information that I found, you can still buy Space Police sets from walmart.com(please note that you will half to search it to find it)and some are cheaper than what they where, like they have Hyperspeed Pursuit (thats also the only oldest one that they have)for $35 and it was $65(on it it dose not say "Rollback" or "On sale" thats its normal price). And they still have all of the sets with guys that have red visors, but there about their regular price. So enjoy this bit of information

Without all this cheesy retro stuff and silly-looking alien heads.

Without all this cheesy retro stuff and silly-looking alien heads.

I dunno, I really like the blue command center truck thing and this "jet-copter." If they had yellow windscreens, they would almost fit in with Classic Space. I also really like the alien commander guy, trans-clear visors, the farmer and reporter, the guns, and the grey dish pieces. I see a lot of potential for this line.
