"They got things like the Atom Bomb!"
"So I think I'll stay where I ahm!"

That is a good one too. I like how all the songs have usually-subtle connections to the content of the game. :P

Portal ran it's time, and every time I heard someone bring up Still Alive, I winced a little. It's been 4 years, and it's done.

Now, Still Alive by Lisa Miskovsky? Theme song for Mirror's Edge? Hasn't run my course yet. ^_^

I am currently making my way through Ghost Trick, and let me tell you that this game has an amazing soundtrack. :D

Also, while I personally was not a big fan of the Yakuza series based on my time with Yakuza 3, it would be insulting of me to say that the soundtrack was not totally freaking awesome.

*awesomeness*

Holy crap! Ol' Blue Eyes covered that song too!?

I can't believe no one posted this.

*Overrated-ness*

"Still Alive" blows. I didn't like it, I didn't understand why everyone loved it. It's a rather over-rated song.

Violence & Silence: It's important for all of us.

“Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.” - Marcus Aurelius

Uh, I'm pretty sure this thread is dedicated to OST tracks of vidya game themes, rather than fanmade ones.

Sovereign's Theme from the original Mass Effect is still my favorite bit of ME music. It's partially because the conversation with Sovereign was awesome (his voice was way cooler than Harbinger's, IMO), and partially because parts of it sound strongly similar to Baldur's Gate:

I don't know if the similarity was intentional, but I'm going to believe it was.

(you'll have to excuse me now, I'm reveling in Baldur's Gate nostalgia bliss)

I feel the same way about Soveriegn's Theme, Scorp. Actually, sometimes I just repeat it, over and over, for like an hour. Its my second favourite song from the first Mass Effect, the first being

of course. :D

That is the BEST song in Mass Effect. Ever.

Just popping in here to say that I was checking out some of these songs, and I was like, "This is crap... frickin' eighties style."

And then I realized my little brother had left some online game up on another tab, and I was listening to it the entire time one of the soundtracks were playing. Funny stuff. Anyway, I might throw some of my favorite soundtracks/songs in here when I find them on youtube.

This soundtrack inspired Detention and all the cannibal, murderous thoughts.

Songs with titles like "I'm Not Edible", "Taking Tea In Dreamland", "Flying On The Wings of Steam", and "Pandemonium" are so suited. I love American McGee's Alice so much. The fact that there's now a sequel in the works only fulfills my heart.
