I'm not neccessarily the person to ask when it comes to art, but this is good stuff. Faces are actually pretty good, much better than mine were while I was still into art. Proportions look pretty good. Keep it up, practice is what'll really improve the skill at this point. ;)

I'm back from the dead, mostly. Sorry 'bout the wait, guys, but once I can get some inspiration and actual thought process together, this wiki update shall be done tomorrow at the latest. Expect it to begin late afternoon today at the latest.

Again, I've had medical issues and my creative spark's been 95 percent drained. First priority is to get some RP posts together, then comes the wiki update. Xbox time has been set lowest in order to actually accomplish something today.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to have standardized templates for each page? All the characters should have the same layout, the factions, and all that other stuff. It'll look cleaner and less confusing, in my opinion.

That's...exactly what I'm going todo. :P That and grammar are the two biggest problems.

I can do that when I get on the reboot thursday.

Government, religion, military and technology: all things that can be put underneath the 'history' or 'culture' sections. It'll make the article more concise. ;)

Speaking of the reboot, I've got a list of things I'm going to solve together now.

-Redlinks: I'm going to head to every redlink possible and make a page based off of templates we (Akira, basically)already put together. You guys can fill the blanks in once you want to.

-Standardization: As I said, the biggest issue right now is with continuity. I'm going to make every page have the same format so they all look nice and pretty to read.

-Categorizing: Like different wikis, I want to make the categories prettier. If you go to a race on the Mass Effect wiki, for example, and you scroll to the bottom a little footer box that'll link you to all other races. I'm learning how to do that.

-Grammar: Of course, this one. Any wiki needs admins and vigilantes to make sure there's good grammar on all the pages. This is the first thing I'm doing.

Most of this is aesthetics, but once I'm done it'll look real nice. I reccommend everyone backs up their wiki pages before Thursday just in case something goes wrong. If you're going to make any last changes, do it soon. I've gotta ask everyone to refrain from using the wiki starting Thursday morning, and if you've got any problems with how I'm doing this or questions or anything, lemme know.

I said this on Terron Faboul, so those of you on that project as well might be surprised with my willingness to do this. :P

This coming thursday at one or so, I'm planning on doing a massive cleanup operation on the wiki. It bothers me (I know, OCD) when I see all the races' pages with completely different formats, for example, so I'm going to standardize that for each page. If I don't have the info on whatever it is, don't worry, I won't make it up for you. I'll just edit in the format, and you guys can fill 'em out.

A bit of order 'round these sixty-odd pages, and this wiki will look great.

There's been one or two, but none of them are magnificent. I actually heard (not here, obviously) that War in the North is decent, so I might pick that up used much later on.

I won't pay any attention to this unless my brothers wanna pick it up; I'm more focused on my homies' and my cosplay adventure to the local theatre when The Hobbit comes out. :P

Ouflah here is a master of photoshop.

Yeah, names are confusing, aren't they, Wolfy? I have about fifteen, that's why I call everyone something different. Mr. King would be what I would say to my inspiration... :P

Nether Realm just ended about twenty minutes ago. I'm currently recharging from the massive amount of carpal tunnel, and I realize that I left out so many little lore things. I'll have to write up a wiki page on Clad's book just to get across some of the points.

I'm excited for the next one, and hopefully it moves slow enough that I can actually participate. I plan on duo-ing it up with Clad and Cullen, which will be immensely entertaining to try out.

I wouldn't worry about Skarrats and Tara, I do like those characters quite a bit.

I've figured out what I'm to do about Cullen! :P

I shall host an RP about the Assault on the Nether-World, and in that I'll subsequently tie up Cullen's story up until the third, that is. I'll go start the topic soon, keep an eye out if you're thinking of making a new (temporary) character.

#367476 Chronicles of the Shipment War

Posted by Crispy on 14 April 2012 - 07:07 AM

This is a rather lengthy story I'm going to be writing for the next few weeks. It's based in Major Tom's Senfina Lactea universe and basically tells what Cullen's been doing for the years in between BoB and Phayboan Wilds. If you're not familiar with it, there's an encyclopedia on the Illikon Schola and there's a link to the wiki from there. Exan, Tommy and I have been expanding like nobody's business.

Aboard Frigate Arcanium
Kasamar System
Three Months AB

Aboard the Arcanium, the most prevalent emotion was tension. Not the bad kind of tension, mind you; the excited kind, the kind that you feel just before an important job that could change your life.

Cullen Archymm felt it just as vividly as the crew. His crew.

He was still amazed at what had happened; when he returned from Bazuur he was given a promotion to naval Captain and given command of his own frigate, the Arcanium. Arcanium was given charge of a task force of other naval forces and given an objective. To loosen the Vuldaks' grip on the Outer Expanses and Borderland Regions by striking their supply lines.

If he could pull this off, he'd be rewarded immensely. Beyond his or anyone's imagination.

As he stood on the bridge in his dress blues, he looked to the new comms officer, Reynolds. She nodded and tapped away at her console. In front of Cullen came up the other captains in hologram form. Quickly, he looked from left to right. Brandon Sloan of the frigate Glados, Rodney Shultz of the frigate Archbishop, Dirk Cruz of the frigate Superstition, Phil Falken of the frigate Charity, Jamal Welch of the frigate Mystique, Lucien Dalton of the frigate Annihilatior, Moses Sampson of the carrier Discord, Lane Web of the cruiser Telepathy, William Olsen of the frigate Providence, Jerry Mendoza of the cruiser Tyanny, Val Robinns of the cruiser Agreement, Ulysses Constantine of the cruiser Philosopher, Hal Knox of the cruiser Fury, and Delores Harris of the Carrier Tartarus; all present.

The man removed a cigar from his front pocket, lit it and inhaled, cleared his gravelly voice. All captains hit a button that keyed the shipwide comms' into the Captain's microphone. Cullen began to pace.

"Brave men and women of the Kasmari Rebellion." He began. "You all know what our mission is; to go forth into territory we've already fought and bled for and prevent the Vuldaks from taking it away. Shut down their supply routes and they fumble in the dark like headless chickens, easy pickings for our main force." He took a deep breath from the cigar. "The stakes are high on this; not only are each and every one of your lives on the line, but those of all our worlds in the Outer Expanses and Borderlands are in danger.

I'm sure some of you wonder why we're risking this for supplies; is it really worth your sacrifices? My answer is yes, this will win us the war in this part of the Galaxy if we succeed. Have faith in me as the leader of this task force, to guide you through this. I won't lie, not all of you will ever see Kasamar again. But I will ensure that some of you will. We will not fail today, gentlemen; we cannot fail." With that, he nodded and the mic was shut off by Reynolds.

Each captain performed a crisp salute, all in sync as they cut transmission.

Cullen moved away, cigar hanging out of his mouth, from the holoprojector and comms, returning to the main bridge. Every eye was on Cullen Archymm then as he breathed deeply and calmly from his newfound vice: he refused to give them any sign that he was jittery.

He went and sat in his captain's chair, giving the pilot the go-ahead. The Arcanium entered FTL and led the charge into what would begin the Shipment War.

Lemme know how it is; this is gonna go on for some time. I know it's probably only decent, but it's really just an intro.

Klaykid, you just earned yourself an hour of reading. Or you would have, if not for the Indoctrination Theory.

I'm not sure you understand. Have you played all three Mass Effect's? It's pretty crushing to realize all that time was wasted because of the endings.

I'd go off like I did yesterday, but I have mad work to do, and after reading the Indoctrination Theory, I'm no longer as angry.
